How do yall think this will work. Will they sub in and out in the middle of the series or do it like last year and give one back the entire series. Do you think Choice will get to tote the rock any?

Also, what about a formation where Barber or Choice plays FB and Jones at RB?

Good question. Myself I think at least at the get go it will be Barber starting and Jones coming in to sub him.

I have also heard some analyst say they could see situation where both Barber and Jones are in at the same time with Jones going in motion given his ability as a pass catcher.

If Felix can show himself as a playmaker Dallas will find ways to get him in the game

Not sure , but I wouldn't be surprised to see them use Jones a lot like Reggie Bush . Maybe in the same backfield as Barber , maybe split him out wide , some trick plays , reverses .

Choice I'd guess will be a little more traditional , but I could also see him in the same backfield as Barber or Jones . He's a good blocker , so I'd imagine they'll figure out a way to utilize that .

As long as Jason Garrett stays creative , there's no reason why all three can't get some touches through the game .

I hope all three will be active for the game.I dont know if Felix is ready to play a whole series but I hope RED uses him creatively.Choice should play on ST and Relieve MBIII on e2 or 3 sereies to keep him fresh.

I expect to see at least 10 plays a game with two RBs (Barber or Choice with Jones)

We did some of that last year with Barber and Julius but it seemed stupid -- mostly short yardage with Marion at FB -- not hard to tell what the play was going to be there.

Barber's not a fullback, so I wouldn't try to use him in that position. But, I would split Jones and Barber in the backfield with TO, Glenn (if healthy), Witten split out. Again, who do you cover when the backfield is all of the sudden empty?

With the players we have, it's be nice to see them ... at least once ... try the wishbone with Barber, Anderson and Jones in the backfield. Doubt it would work, but it'd be fun to watch .. at least once.

My guess is that we'll see F. Jones and MBIII on the field together a lot more than we saw Julius Jones and MBIII together on the field.

During Reggie Bush's rookie year, Sean Payton did a fine job of using Deuce McAllister and R. Bush together. That combination truly spread out the defense. One of their formations looked a lot like a single wing formation, with the HB (Bush) lined up outside of the TE but about 7-8 yards behind the line of scrimmage. McAllister was the FB and was great going off guard .... It almost didn't seem fair, because McAllister was able to bust up defenses that were preoccupied with what Bush was or wasn't doing.

I think we'll see some of that.

I hope we see Choice getting some carries. The more Choice can play spell Barber, the more often F. Jones will be available to be paired with Barber and/or Choice.

You never know what Jason Garrett is going to do with the rotation. I think though it will be Barber the starter with Felix Jones coming in as a situational 3rd down back.

Possibilities are endless to what we can do with FJ. He could be a slot receiver, run reverses, screen plays....defense will have to game plan against our version of the "wild hog offense"-lol

My feeling all along has been that, while Mendenhall was a player that would play exactly the same position as Barber, and thus be a wasted pick as a simple backup, Jones will actually play a little bit different position. He will be used in multiple ways as stated above, much like Reggie Bush, while Choice is the actual back up running back. When you look at it that way, the round for the selection makes more sense. Draft a unique role player who does a little of everything, a "slash" if you will, in the first round, draft a backup running back in the fourth in case Barber goes down. I think Felix adds a tremendously exciting new dimension to our offense, and you can't possibly underestimate his value as a kick returner to boot!

You don't. You slip into zone and send the house. If you give up a 1st, so be it, but you make sure you lay wood to Romo. A couple of those hits and he's out. That's what you do there. Basically, just think of Spurriers offense and then you have exactly what you do on the defensive side of the ball.

I don't think Choice gets much work early on. I think in the case that Barber goes down, Choice actually ends up the starter and Felix keeps his role as situational/versatile guy though.

I also think there may be times when Barber is tired and you see Choice and Felix in the backfield at the same time.

Choice will get carries in games later on down the year.

December ( to save MBIII from wearing down) is when we will truly appreciate him

I actually think Choice might be ready to get minutes before Jones. Choice played for Chan Gailey, who does run a pro style offense and does throw the ball. Jones did not play in that kind of offense at Arkansas.

I'd imagine that Choice would be better suited to learn the Blitz assignments, the hot reads etc. Before either of these back see significant minutes, they will both have to understand that part of the offense or they will not play IMO.

I bet we will be seeing formations when both Barber and Felix are on the field at the same time (ala Duece and Reggie Bush)...or both Choice and Felix. They are probably going to move Felix around and utilize him in a lot of ways imo.

I could see lots of situations where it's 3rd and 2 and you line up both Felix and Choice in the backfield. Possibly put Felix in motion to give romo a choice to hit Felix in a mismatch for a quick screen or check off and run a draw with Choice.

Obviously could do a lot of stuff like that with barber also. line both him and felix up and shift felix out (ala westbrook, Faulk) and still have the run threat or a big mismatch coverage wise.

I think we'll see Felix Jones in a specialty-type role. I think we'll try to use him like Westbrook was used early on with the Eagles.

Choice will spell MBIII when he needs a breather. I think he'll also be in on special teams.

I really like what Choice brings to the table. He was one of my favorite backs in the draft. My first choice (other than the first-tier guys) was Matt Forte'. But Choice will do nicely.

I think the original question is a superb one.

I hated the 3 runs for Barber, 3 runs for Julius Jones stuff. Or one offensive series for one, one for the next back. Keep the defense reeling, and if both guys aren't 25 down backs, then why don't we give them a break DURING the series instead of hot/cold/hot/cold etc.

Put them both in there sometimes. Split the new Jones out as a receiver sometimes. Use Jones as a 3rd down back and Barber as the softener.

Bash and Slash!
