How much? How much can everyone from you "Open-Minded Realists" to the "Blind Homers" take of this team before you give up? By that I mean no more games watched. No more news read. No more blogs or forums or chatrooms discussing the Cowboys. No more hats or tees or flags or jerseys. I mean total secession for Cowboys Nation. I'm not asking in jest or to rile anyone up. I just want to see what one's limit is to truly turning in one's "fancard" (a popular topic around here these days)! Personally, I don't think there's anything football-related that they could do at Valley Ranch to make me go to such extremes so I'm curious to see how you Zoners felt...

Die hard fan during SB runs and die hard fan when we were 1-15 it has never changed. When will I give up on being a die hard fan of the Cowboys? The day they put me in the ground.

Thanks for answering honestly, folks. As a NFL fan, and Cowboys' fan in particular, I just couldn't visualize a scenario that would make me not love the team I've "lived & died" with for over 30 yrs.! I've seen people (not just here, btw) yell & scream about "turning in fancards" and I needed a l'il assurance that even though we are often critical of our 'Boys that it would never get to the point that we'd give up on them (even if it seems they sometimes give up on us ;) )!!

For me when I say im done. I don't mean done being a fan. I bleed dallas blue. I named my youngest Dallas. I have been a fan for 25+ yrs and that isnt going to change. But I feel that gives me every right in the world to complain when I do not like what is going on. And right now I do not like it. Wade and the majority of this current coaching staff needs to go. I think Jerry needs to step down as GM (never gonna happen). And I am beggining to think signing Romo to the huge contract was a HUGE mistake.

I didn't start this thread to beat up on those who complain and voice their displeasure of the current state of the 'Boys; I just wanted to know if there was a threshold that when crossed the pissed off ones would cease to be a part of the fanbase. I believe we as fans have every right to beat up on the organization they support if things aren't going right...and I'll never tell anyone otherwise. Me, personally, I'm an optimist so I usually don't take that route but I won't hate on anyone who does...to each their own...

To stop being a Cowboys fan, they must move to Florida, LA or something.....

I've been a fan since I was six years old. I watched every televised game of the 1989 season, and I will continue to watch no matter what the results on the field.

While "giving up" isn't an option, going on a temporary haitus is. On monday's after a loss, I avoid everything Cowboys. I don't watch Sports Center in the morning, I don't wear my jersey (obviously), I don't visit Cowboyszone, I don't want to hear what the players think or what Wade did wrong. If the Cowboys continue their digression, I don't see it far-fetched for some to do this weekly, monthly, or even seasonly (seasonly? Is that a word?). I'm not saying I would, because on a win-week I'm checking for Cowboys news every second of every day, and on a loss week the first thing I do tuesday morning is run to my computer. But it would take alot... ALOT... to drive someone who loves the cowboys enough to post on a message board, completely away from the team.

However, I can hate the decisions the owner makes and his puppet fraud coaching staff with a passion and still remain in support of the star. The star is bigger than any two bit salesman no matter how much money he holds in his possession.

It's statements like this make me physically ill and make me want to stop supporting this loser team.

The Dallas Cowboys ugly play over the seasons, 12 years without a playoff win and Jerry "Football Guy" Jones make me sick to my stomach.:(

When Dallas was good it was in part because everyones' priority was to win, from the fans and media to the player and coaches. Those were the Cowboys I remember and that kind of winning football takes tough minded football players, coaches, media and fans.

Weak minds lead weak minds I guess....strong minds lead themselves and others catch on like momentum.

Strong minds like Brian Dawkins, John Gruden or Ray Lewis would have helped this team tremendously. The only thing that can save any franchise from rolling down hill the wrong direction is stepping up and rising to the occasion, it's practically too late for that already this year. That should have happened by the organization, terrible offseason.

You don't see the personel or leadership in the organization, well it's way past time the Dallas Cowboys Fan base stood up if the players arn't going to win then boo them.....they actually seem to play better when you do Michael Irvin

I'm at the point where IMHO sending JJ a message is important to the future of this team. No more hats, jerseys, tickets to games, etc. If JJ won't make the changes this team needs then the huge Cowboy fan base should compel him to via his pocket book.

"When Dallas was good it was in part because everyones' priority was to win, from the fans and media to the player and coaches." What the hell are you smoking? Fans and Media did not contribute one damn thing. The Walker deal more than anything else helped get this team turned around with vet players as well as a ton of picks that were fairly high picks since Minn fell apart soon after the Walker deal. I love Jimmy Johnson but he did not light it up with the Dolphins and was given full control as HC and GM

The players and Coaches contributed the most but if you have never been to Texas Stadium then you wouldn't know. There were times when you could hear a pin drop, it was magical what happened there. Now it's all about glitz and glamour, the media hates Jerry, he's all about the money and no one cares near as much about winning.

Then there was the other night when the Cowboys actually got BOOed at the new Stadium. After the half they rose up and did well, aparently they were motivated, that's what we can do as Fans. Even if you don't have to smoke the good stuff to do it!

I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some, people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as, uh, South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, or, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future

I guess I just don't get the whole "how much can you take" talk.

I enjoy watching football and in particular, the Dallas Cowboys.

I hate when they lose, but it doesn't give me an ulcer when they lose.

I will be watching them as long as I am able too.

Personally, I think it is unhealthy to take football too serious.

After several broken remotes, and countless sleepless nights, I have adopted this attitude. It wasn't easy and took years to develop (go check my posts on the old mazevo boards). I actually enjoy watching games now and don't chew my nails down to the cuticles anymore. I went to my first ever game this weekend, and absolutely loved it, and was able to blow off the loudmouth "winners" on the way out to the car. I was disappointed, but I made it home ok :). Going to my first home game in 3 weeks (Seahags!). I'm lovin my cowboys!

Been to several games at Texas Stadium from the day they opened until the last year. Fans are always excited when the team does well and at times can be loud other times they sit on their hands. The team improvement though had nothing to do with the Media or the fans.

Yeah!.... just become numb to losing what a great attitude...... do you think Steelers Fans would never think about acting like it doesn't matter and supporting Pitssburgh blindly.

No they wouldn't, that's why they are even more determined to win because of the mentally strong Fan base. They simply know Football, Dallas used to be that way, even after Landry when Jimmy was here we had knowlegable strong willed fans. Now it seems like the strong Fan Base is watered down, drained and has an inability to be disturbed.

Well I for one am VERY DISTURBED and I'm not the only Fan who's tired of all the LOSING!!!
