I've been reading it's possible he can get it reduced to 0. So my question is can we afford this potential beast waiting to explode for 16+ games on our run to the show? When it's all said and done he can earn over 13mill for one season...

The contract was offered with him earning all 16 games. They will save 4 games of that now.
This is a non-issue. That is 13 million, but I think if certain incentives are made too.
$812,500 per game. So $3.25 million more can go toward Dez's contract, if they just say, they will take the 4 games and no further appeals.

His 16 games salary is already figured into our cap. We get to save the cost of 4 weeks but personally I'd rather pay for them all and have him
The question with hardy is not what he costs this year but can we keep him after this year. Buts that's a problem for after the season

They currently have 11.6M in cap space with Hardy counting 3.2M against the cap. If Hardy misses the 4 games but earns all other incentives, his cost will be about 11M total. Deducting the amount he is already counting against the cap would be 11M - 3.2M = 7.8M. That indicates they would use 7.8M of the 11.6M of cap space on Hardy if he meets all incentives which leaves 3.8M of cap space.

Lol, of course Dallas can afford it, and of course they really want him available for all 16 (+) games.

Are we going to say that Hardy's reduction in suspension is yet another way the league is trying to screw the Cowboys? They made Dallas pay more!

I sometimes wonder if Forrest Gump is starting threads here:

The contract would not have been approved if they couldn't.

Yes for this year. But with Dez pulling down max this year on franchise tag, which is already included in out CAP for this year.
Then what about next year?
Can we afford Romo, Dez and Hardy?
I think the Cowboys could make it work for 2016 also, with hopefully Dez signing a multi year deal.

Yes. And they've already planned for it just in case.
