Nice to see a DC rapper getting some props! I've heard some J5 stuff (mostly on mixtapes) but I never bought any of their CDs. Any recommendations? I do like their style.

Interesting mix on here. I'm glad to see some of you younger guys respect some of the older hip hop artists. I didnt expect to see names like Big L, Gang Starr, & Del on here...especially from twentysomethings!

I know what's up on REAL hip-hop! That's just the tip of the ice-berg. I listen to alot of underground HH too.

Power in Numbers is probably my favorite album of theirs but Feedback is close. My favorite song is Work it Out w/ Dave Matthews...it's different than a lot of their other stuff but it's awesome.

Every CD that they have has some good songs...they aren't very consistent, but their good stuff is awesome.

I'm sorry but Eminem is overrated.

I agree, but he's got a few classics. Stan, Lose Yourself, Till I Collapse, Stan, etc.

He does, I agree. All of his albums are the same, though. Two parts to every Em album:

1. Silly song designed to play to my teenage male audience.

2. Gritty, tough, "Marshall Mathers" track to appeal to my older fans; generally composed of any combination of the following four elements: a) I hate my ex b) I hate my mom c) my life sucked growing up d) haters gonna hate.

3. A ton of filler.

rinse and repeat for 10 years.

I encompassed them both as OutKast, because without Big Boi there would be no Andre as we know him today. But yeah...ATLiens, Southernplayalisticadillacmusik, Aquemini? Aquemini has to be a Top 5 hip-hop album of all time.

His first three albums - Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show are great. So is his latest, Recovery. His freestyles are also awesome.

He raps with intensity and heart.

My favorite all-time easily.

So true, yet, I like Andre 3000 by himself, but Big Boi by himself, is just okay.
