Marcus Coleman has been working at CB according to Parcells and the Dallas media.

I assume this means our Safeties will be Williams, Davis, Watkins, & Beriault, with Coleman as an insurance card.

CBs as Henry, Newman, Glenn, Coleman, Reeves, and ???. Or do we stop at 5?

Looks like you nailed it, I think we definately stop at 5 CBs.

Also Parcells made mention of Reeves being in the mix at FS.

I think because of Colemans versatility we stop at 5, assuming that he makes the team.

And I'm sure that you've heard by now that Coleman and Reeves will both be competing at the nickle spot.

Coleman can play DB & S. I think he competes for FS at first, unless someone steps up like they hope. Then coleman can provide depth at both postions.

We drafted a FS, signed one in FA, and kept one from going to another team, plus are getting a potential one back from IR. Before they even suit up you're chewing finger nails?

I think we will see Coleman playing both free safety and corner. I think Dallas wants to try to build Pat Watkins up a bit. Plus, if Coleman makes the team, this will probobly be his only year in Dallas.

I think BILL knows Coleman can play FS... in fact thats why an article a cpl of days ago had a quote from Coleman about the 2 positions!!! If Coleman can still play CB then Bill will carry 4 CBs plus coleman and 3 Ss!!!

that game day roster spot may allow BILL to carry a specialty player!

I think the depth chart will be like this for the Jags.

CB
Newman
Henry
A. Glenn
Reeves
Coleman

FS
Davis
Watkins

SS
ROY
Berry-O

Carrying Coleman as a CB keeps from having to bring 4 safeties. HE would be the 4th safety and possibly the 4th CB.

If he can't play FS, he's got no shot at CB. I think bill knows what he can do at FS, but also wants him playing CB again. Sounds like he will be the backup at CB and possibly start or backup at FS.

I see this as a positive. Coleman worked at CB because Parcells and Co. were comfortable and familiar with what he could do at FS. There are only so many reps available in in short mini-camp. See what the other FSs can do, knowing that there is a viable plan B.

It also lets them know what Coleman can do at CB in a pinch (might be we see more of Newman at PR).

Options are a postive.

Sounds to me like BP wants all non starting DB's versatile enough to play any position. At work we call it cross training and it's a good thing.

Week 1 opponent.

ahh ok. I thought he was a closet Jaguars fan and got them mixed up.

Now I know what he means. That'll be the team playing against the Jags, not for the Jags. Thanks.

I still say it is very likely that week one comes without either Coleman on the roster.

It is going to take an injury or a complete disaster in TC and preseason from the young guys for him to be on the roster.
