Questionable officiating last night

The OP wasn't blaming the refs for losing, but they were blatant fouls committed by SF. The one on Pollard, the ref was standing right there. We would have still lost but you have to call that penalty.
Clearly the refs were instructed by the league office to turn a blind eye to the Niners in ways that were obvious to Cowboys players. 11 v 11 turns into 11 v 18. Nobody wins when they have to account for 7 refs out there not doing their job unless it involves a flag on them.

Lets say the refs make both calls, does it change the outcome of the game? Does it stop the consistent 3 and out's? Does it stop Dak from throwing 3 INT's?

Probably not.
Daks 3 picks were because we were forced to pass.

Football is about momentum. You don’t know if they flag the 49ers 15 yards there if they get something going. The 3 and out always kills you

Had it been a close game I would care more about that I guess but they got humiliated in every way possible, the refs didn’t change much in the grand scheme of things.
It's easier to get humiliated when this is the tone the refs set from the beginning. Flags change momentum, flags change drives, flags change games.

Refs somehow swallowed their whistles on these plays, yet took away a Cowboys stop on an incidental, ticky tack helmet to helmet when the game was 14-7.

Niners were allowed to play physical **, Cowboys were on a tight leash. We're gonna have to work the refs somehow.

Absolutely.

No penalty called for throwing Pollard out of bounds. 15 yarder and keeps the drive going as opposed to a 3 and out

That is why I hate playing SF. Their OL punched our player which should be an automatic ejection but isn’t given a warning.

Dallas stops SF on 3rd down. Penalty of Kearse for offsides … leads to 14-7 (not on the refs).

Dallas stops SF on 3rd. Penalty on Kearse for taunting … leads to 21-7. Kearse is given a warning

It was wilson on the taunt, which honestly was a joke of a call

Exactly
The officiating was terrible but we just got our butts whipped on both sides of the ball and that’s why we lost

Worse than the officials is how Dallas got punched in the mouth and not one player on that team did a damn thing about it

Just took it like a chump

Embarrassing
That is fact
As bad as the officials were, we was worse.I didn’t expect to win the game but I didn’t expect to be totally dominated

Don’t feel this is the point.

But when one team is deemed physical .. and is allowed to suplex player clearly out of bounds, throw multiple punches on two players, throw punches in the end zone, clearly block player in the back and slam said players head and neck into another defender and draw zero penalties is something. It’s much easier to be the bully when you get away with what you want.

But then to turn around and throw the flag on Wilson for taunting? This is why the NFL just isn’t fun.

It’s like the arizona game. Let’s call OPI on Lamb for a push off. But let’s NOT call DPI on their defender for making contact and not turning around.

Its all skewed and objective to what the refs want to see and call.

They kept 2 SF drives with calls against Dallas D early in the game. Not saying Dallas would have won at all. They were BAD. But the refs allowed SF to play like a bunch of wild dogs with no fear of penalties.

Last night’s game was bad. But the officiating in the London game was even worse.

While I thought the tackle of Pollard out of bounds was a penalty, it set the tone of the game for SF. But penalties called/not called in this game had no bearing on the outcome…this was a beatdown in every sense of the word. Dallas was not able to match the physicality/intensity of SF.

Two things can be simultaneous truths at once.

The refs should’ve called all of those penalties. Letting them go and handing them a turnover (Pollard fumble) even though it was not clear that the defender established possession of the football inbounds, incrementally affects the game. If it did not, then there would be no point in having and calling (or selectively not calling) penalties. Would it have affected the outcome of the game because it was such a large score difference at the end? Likely not.

However, that doesn’t mean the game couldn’t have been closer, and in a league of parity, these type of biases statistically do matter.
