Hmmmm. Love me some Dez, but that doesn't sit well.Targeting Dez:
Comp Pct 48.8
TD-Int. 9-4
Passer Rtg. 84.7
Targeting EVERYONE ELSE:
Comp Pct 71.7
TD-Int. 17-2
Passer Rtg. 105.1
Dez literally ran out of bounds before the ball got there on at least 1 of those sideline routes.
Says the Romonater.
Every word is true but it didn't appear that Dak had anyone to throw to for the most part. He made his share of mistakes, but Butler, Witten and Dez all dropped passes. It was a total team loss. Didn't we learn anything from the Romo era? You can't blame one player when the whole team stunk up the place. He played crappily against Denver. He was decent, not great against NY. If teams are going to employ the Denver method and focus on the run and containing Elliott, Prescott can't dink and dunk and do what he did against Denver.
I mean those are the realities. Let's see where he goes from here.
And let's be honest.
If he struggles in Arizona, people better start getting concerned. This is a pretty important game for him IMO.

Nope, don't care what happens this year, he is a franchise QB. If this year has to become a learning tool, than so be it. #InDakWeTrust
What's Tom Brady's QB rating the last couple games against the Broncos? What was Aaron Rodgers QB rating when he played against this defense in 2015?
Just want to make sure we are being consistent when we are saying things like he was terrible and how he's a fraud etc. Broaddus summed it up pretty well on Talkin' Cowboys after analysing the tape. The Denver secondary is the best in the league. I think it's just about established now, Dallas doesn't have a dominant receiver. They have a bunch of good solid guys. It wasn't that their dline dominated our oline, even though our oline did not have a good game by any stretch. The Broncos secondary just flat out shut down our receivers with single coverage. Guys didn't get open.
Apart from a few broken coverages, Dak had to hit pretty tight windows all game. He couldn't do it, but guess what, the two best in the game, in their prime couldn't against this defense also.
People fail to realize also that Linehan was bringing Dak along SLOWLY his first year and part of the success was Linehan's coaching. It was also built heavily off play action. Before the season even ended we threw double thr play action than Romo's year we used it the most.
In Mississippi State they primarily played half the field for him.
Who knows how much more responsibility Dak has this season compared to last. Maybe that's why he's stuck mentally on trying to force it to Dez. Who knows, but pretending like this is last year and he hasn't been anywhere close to stellar is absurd..
What is true is like 100 yards of his passing was in garbage time and they couldn't move the Ball effectively when the opposing defense keyed in on stopping Zeke.
I would be more concerned if the rest of team played well but Dak was pathetic. A game like Denver just has to be tossed out the window. I don't think we can evaluate our team or individual players in a game that was a buzz saw lightning storm high altitude **** show. I'm just glad it was a road game against an AFC opponent. Usually you can afford to lose one of those. Now if Dak struggles as we go forward then we can start to worry.Wow are Dak fans sensitive. Newsflash, just because some people realistically criticize his play does not mean they have written him off. Dak set the bar very high last year. He has looked bad for two games to start the season. Many people were concerned about a sophomore slump and so far it looks like we are seeing one. We all hope and expect him to right the ship. For gosh sakes do not take the criticism personally. Dak himself is his own biggest critic which speaks volumes for the guy. So lighten up people it is okay to criticize when the criticism is deserved.
He didnt say they would win...he just said Denver would have had to pay for stacking the line. And they would have. Theres nothing wrong with stating that. Tony would recognize and adjust better than Dak did because of maturity.
Same reason Tony beat the Seahawks when they were #1 in multiple categories and they tried stopping Murray.
Hmmmm. Love me some Dez, but that doesn't sit well.
Sounds like a coaching issue. If Dak isn't ready yet, then continue to do what you did last year to bring him along. I don't expect him to be superman. Good coaching will bring out his strengths and cover up his weaknesses and he will continue to improve like any other young NFL QB.People fail to realize also that Linehan was bringing Dak along SLOWLY his first year and part of the success was Linehan's coaching. It's bizarre that those two can't get on the same page.
