Big difference since Walsh and Aikman both came in as rookies the same season. Romo I think knows he is 36 years old and on the tail end and has said he had no problem with Dallas drafting a QB and has said he would help that player as he has all others who has sat behind him.
It's true but, the top man at QB wants to feel secure in his position and that the team has to look to him and rely on him to win games.
It's pretty natural for QB's to say they will accept a new "heir apparent" rather than feel confident with that scenario. I think Romo feels
he can play another 3-4 years and I also think Jerry is not going to question Romo's feeling on the issue this year for sure. A good backup
that is no real competition to replace the franchise guy works best I think. I think you could look at the Manning situation in Denver this year
and Tom Brady and know that they don't want any other QB's breathing down their necks.
