People don't seem to grasp he's long past his prime and '14 was his last good year. Even when he was healthy last year, his play was sub par, if it wasn't for the inexplicable play calling by the Giants we would have lost the opener. Over many years, we've all seen Qb's in their 30's, especially with bad backs, try to continue on because of competitive drive. I would guess 9 out of 10 times it doesn't end well. I hate to see Tony go out that way. That said, if I were in his shoes, I'd likely be doing the same.

If you're a gambling man (and I am) that is why I support him but am all for moving up for Wentz at the same time. Heck, Goff may be off the table @ 4 with a trade up from a team to SD/Ten either way. With Romo healthy (big if) we will be drafting in mid to late first if the OL can protect him and his back is 100%.

The spin move exposes him too (but admit looks slick as hell when he pulls it off and extends plays due to Garrett's scheme not incorporating shorter routes for outside WRs). A real RT would've been a good way to go in the off season. Anyone got a RT w/potential and are weak @ G?:D Could also use Leary if he has any value to recoup (3/4th rd pick from another team, etc.) or include in the trade up w/TEN.

It blows me away that there is even one Cowboys fan out there who actually believes this. I have to double check your posts on the subject because I can never believe you're not just trolling on the topic. Because it's hard to believe anybody could legitimately be so off base.

Trolling??

Yeah. I don't think you are, but your take is so completely unsupportable, I'd almost feel better thinking you weren't being serious.

Guess every QB can't be built like the Greek god that is Tom Brady.

Why would a man agree to pose for that photo? He has a very high opnion of himself.

He's been pretty much the same for the past 10 years. He looked thinner his first couple years in the league, but post 2006? He's basically been the same every year. He ain't gonna be shirtless in any calendars, but he's just fine to play QB at a real high level.

It's always a team sport. He disabled the argument re Romo's personal performance with his player rating and then took away the reflex fallback by pointing out the team also won. In part because of Romo's quality play.

There's no reasonable argument against Romo as a starting QB at this point. He's silenced all rational criticism on the general topic of his ability to play.

No one is saying that Romo was not a great QB

There is a solid argument to be made against his continued health though

And Romo was not playing that well at the beginning of last season BEFORE he got injured

And despite what we hear about him, he usually comes into the season overweight and that is a killer for an athlete with back problems

If you are an objective person, no way do you believe that Romo can play 90% of the games in the next 2-3 seasons

Basic knowledge of human nature and the amount of money involved should tell anyone objective with common sense that Romo will do everything he can to convince the team not to pick a QB at 4

We have a golden opportunity to pick his heir apparent not some idiot like Hackenberg or Prescott

We better ignore anything Romo says or does and make the best decision for the long term interest of the franchise

None of these statements are anything except pro-cowboy

Labeling statements and reasonable comments as 'trolling' is just an agenda from some in this board

Just stop, dude. of course injuries are a concern and of course we need to draft his heir apparent. That's not what the exchange with Frozen was about at all.

And being pro-Cowboy has nothing to do with it, either. I'd never suggest a poster like Frozen was anything but pro-Cowboy.

Let's just say I don't believe him. I want to see it for the entire season and for the next few more unless the Cowboys get smart and bring in real competition. I want to make sure we leave no stone unturned.

Ever seen Brady's nutrition plan? His diet is off the charts. He goes as far as avoiding certain produce that have inflammatory properties. Of course he has a nutritionist and a personal chef to handle all of the hard stuff.

But the point is that guys willing to go this far have a greater chance to play further in thier careers at a higher level. Look at T.O. and his hyperbaric chamber, Rice and his legendary conditioning program. Emmitt I think worked very hard on keeping flexibility and doing ice baths and things of that nature to keep his body good to go.

I love Romo, and I think he's worked his butt off with film and technique. But in all honesty if (and I can't say he hasnt) he prepared his body like the other legends I think he would be able to squeeze out a couple more years, luck withstanding.

I hear you, but I don't think there's a personal chef in the world that can save you from a broken clavicle caused by a 300+ lb grown man landing on you. The issues Romo has had with injury have very little to do with his eating habits.

Everything I've read or heard about the way Romo has worked to prevent further back injuries after his initial injury suggest Romo takes preventative stuff seriously. He takes it so seriously he got an elective surgery to prevent further collarbone injuries.

At no point was I under the impression that if Romo ate more broccoli 300lb defensive linemen would bounce off his collar bone with out incident.
