For all of those who are under the impression that the Jets offense some how slowed down with QC, take a look at the below quote from Herman Edwards in today's Daily News.
"We were winning by the same margin, eight points, with Chad as we did with Quincy," Edwards said. "Quincy had the second-biggest margin (of victory), last week - 13-3. "Chad alone will not win a football game," Edwards added. "We still have to play defense. We still have to execute. We still have work to do."
Don't believe the hype. I had my questions about Chad Pennington and although very accurate, he is one injury away from being labled "Mr. Glass". I hope he can last the rest of the year but I wouldn't be suprised if he were injured again soon.
QC did very well under the conditions inwhich he had to step into. A team with playoff asperations and a very narrow margin for error because of a tight race. He didn't get off too many pass attempts but every important pass he had to make, he did. Big pressure, big play. Also, he was literally knocked out of the game and came back and had his best half of football this year. If that were Brette Farve who was knocked out and came back, everyone would have been saying what a warrior he was and how this game was one of legend.
I liked QC when he was here and was very dissapointed to see if last year was a good stepping stone to the next level. Anyway, I anticipate that QC will probably land in Arizona with Coach Greene next year. Hey he may come along and take Chad Hutchinsons spot in Chicago. De Ja Vu.
