If things fall right we could have a deep and talented defensive line.

Hopefully they are successful in trading for Quinn.
Hopefully Dlaw is re-signed.
Hopefully Gregory only receives a small suspension.
Hopefully Taco shows some improvement in year 3.
Hopefully Hyder's achiles is healed and he can return to previous form.
Hopefully Covington can build on his previous success in Houston.
Hopefully Woods continues to impress.
Hopefully Collins can stay healthy and show improvement.

McDowell? Imagine if he is recovered and they can add him cheap.
Another piece or two added in the draft would be great as well.
Soooooo, you’re saying there’s a chance.....:D

If you replace Lawrence with Quinn, this team will not be in playoffs. Lawrence is 3X the player that Quinn is. That would be like replacing Elliott with Mark Ingram. While Ingram is a good player, he is not in the same atmosphere as Elliott. Same with Lawrence and Quinn.
They would work well together.

No, it would be like replacing Elliott with Golden Tate. Quinn and Lawrence barely play the same position.

Lawrence is a premier run stopping LE that can get to the QB. Out of all the people playing specifically LE in a 4-3 right now, I can't think of someone hands-down better than DLaw.

Quinn was once a premier pass-rush specialist RE that should probably not see the field except in passing situations. Nowadays he's an unknown, and there's a reason his current cap hit is too rich for anyone, but he's got as good a chance in this system as any other to revitalize his career.

Quinn is a replacement for Gregory, not Lawrence

This, if you have no one coming from the other edge that can get to the QB guess what happens? Double DL and guess what then, the QB can grill out burgers behide the OL because no one else is getting there. My Lord you just weaken another position.

What about Dorance Armstrong? I don’t even remember which side he plays but I presume it was Gregory’s side.

Armstrong 2 years and counting at getting hurt and not being able to stay on the field. Much rather have someone dependable and not play Russian Roulette with that position with Gregory being out the year.

DLaw is the key. Quinn gives this front the ability to have a consistent pass rush...he is no replacement for a player like DLaw.

Regardless of whether Quinn is signed or not DAL is drafting a DE, on mid-round guy I'm looking out for is Maxx Crosby.

Quinn isn't our savior. He' s a nice piece if we get him...but not the end all be all. MUCH of it will be how the draft goes and coaching in 2019.
