Quinn's defense

It's been said he has a specific vision for what he wants (traits) out of his players.

He supposedly already has a better relationship with the scouts than his predecessors. I believe it was Dane Brugler who said Quinn tells the scouts what traits he's looking for and they go find those guys.

I cant ever recall any of our coordinators having such an effect on the draft but this draft has his name all over it.

I just hope he knows what the hell he is doing.

Also, Quinn plays a legit 21st century defense, as opposed to Marinelli.

It does absolutely settle the coach versus scout debate -- coaches get who they think is the best fit for their scheme regardless of what scouts believe.

It was reported as a collaborative effort. The scouts find the best guys that match those traits. How they compare vs guys that don't match those traits is beyond me, but you have a point.

It’s as good as any other strategy for picking players in the 3rd round. Might as well draft for fit and hope for the best.

Yeah I remember on the Seahawks years ago, but man we could really see that vaunted 21st century Atlanta defence he was leading out there those Atlanta years.
