Well when he was healthy and on the field he was a weapon for us.

Some strange things happened though like the year he bulked up and he just didn't look the same as he did when he was a rookie.

Plus the guy was always hurt.

I question how much Felix really likes playing football because he has the ability to be electric but it just seems like he didn't give good effort in his preparation.


Not to mention it's hard for a RB to get the ball in a Garrett offense.

BTW, Mike Jenkins was the other #1 pick. Not on the team as well.

There was a reason those backs were drafted after Jones. Where you are drafted doesn't guarantee what level of success you will have in the NFL. Ask all those QB's drafted before Tom Brady.

Why is it Felix was the only true bust of that draft class.. Most of those guys are dynamic or stcarters who already ink new deals . Felix was basically replace 2 years before his contract expire ... 3 seasons in as a pro..

I never really saw the hype around Felix he never out ran anyone and he was always track down by defenders. I wish we could have got a refund on the guy.

Does anyone ever consider that maybe, just maybe, they aren't trying to defend a blown draft pick, but rather they are just trying to be kind and courteous to a guy who was a good soldier here?

You left out that the turf tackled him and he would fumble without anyone touching the ball. Oh, and would run out of bounds on 4th down "trying to stop the clock" or other times he would run out of bounds when they were trying to bleed the clock out. Smiling the whole time too.
