Sherman is happy that Seattle just got a bye into the Super Bowl.

Dallas is a tough matchup for them. Green Bay is a gimme putt.

“You shouldn’t have to deal with the commissioner patronizing you and telling you how to be a better father,” Sherman says. “Most of the scars on my face are from belts and switches. My parents told me they whooped me so the police wouldn’t do it, so that when you encounter authority in the real world, you don’t get yourself hurt or killed. I did wrong, I got beat, and I didn’t do that again.”

one important fact people dont think about with AP

What point? I'm still not clear what your point is?

We're talking about sherman's article here, correct?

I quoted Sherman and said he had a valid point many dont consider.

People only comment on what they think is over-punishment without considering without it, what if the kid in the future gets in all kinds of trouble from under-punishment. Which was what Sherman was basically saying.

Okay, now I get what you are saying. It wasn't clear in the previous posts. You called it a fact, but it was really just Sherman's opinion about his own personal experience. Sherman turned out alright, but he also could have turned out alright without any scars from beatings.

No one was ever upset with Peterson punishing his child/children. They were upset that he physically scarred his child. There are all kinds of people that don't get hit to the point of physical scars who don't end up getting into trouble with law enforcement. There is a fine line between spankings/beatings and spankings/beatings that leave physical scars. Peterson said he grew up that way and I'm sure his father also did, too. Peterson's father ended up in prison, so those beatings didn't teach him a lesson.

What will have a bigger impact on Adrian Peterson's 4 year old son? Getting a beating that leaves him with scars on a trip to visit his father? Or not living with his father for a large percentage of the year?

This is just stupid. You are embarrassing you self. Your stalker level infatuation with him is getting creepy.

Yeah finding nearly everything he says and does stupid is not good reason. His taint sweat is clouding your judgement. Shake it off.

Lol you getting all sensitive because I called you out over Sherman? Come on you're better than that.

Don't tell me the topic of him is your soft spot.

You come in here claiming to hate him, but for no real reason. Pathetic

This is a family friendly board, some of you need to keep that in mind. Also stop the personal attacks.
Take that as a freebie. Next time it is a vacation

Sherman's fear should be a lesson to the Jordy Nelson fans. he's not thinking about him.

I'm not judging one way or another. I'm just saying, for the most part people should stay out of how other people raise their kids. I wouldnt hit my kid in such a manner, but that doesnt mean I dont recognize some kids might actually need that. That was my point with sherman's quote. Sherman recognized he probably needed that and is who he is today because of it.
