I thought Rambo 4 would be the last, yet today we hear that there will be a Rambo 5 to begin filming in Bulgeria Soon...
Kinda Scary IMHO...

He's not the same "action hero" he once was, but there really is no young guy getting that job done these days. The Rock was suppose to be that guy but he's too busy making "Comedies".
Seriously, I want to see a movie with the Rock just going around kicking 17 different kinds of arse. Don't try to "Force" the comedy. That part will come naturally with him, just let him blow some crap up.
We really need a good action star to step up. The best one right now, IMO, is Jason Statham (sp?), but he's only "ok".

Maybe I am just old school but it seems movies these days don't have that hero anymore like Ahnold or Stallone or even Indy. The real key is not a blow em up type of movie but an actor that people really like who does a serious action movie with a halfway decent plot. I'm not saying doing the Die Hard series all over again but something new.

Aikmaniac;2006001 said:I really enjoyed the last Rambo. The problem I see with doing another one is consistency. Will Sly keep the "realistic" violent theme even if the plot involves something along the lines of his dad/family/whoever getting killed? Or will it go back to a gratuitous blow-up-everything-in-sight mantra as was the case in II and III.
I'd like to see more action myself...that's why I enjoyed II so much. I doubt Sly would go the same road as IV again with the violence.

As opposed to the other Rocky movies where you could see the punch miss by a foot or more.
Mavs Man;2006069 said:Well, he was a big action star back then so he probably tried to avoid messing his face up. But maybe now since his face is so messed up with all of that plastic surgery, no one would notice so it's fair game.

I loved him Snatch though.
