While SDG lost Weddle, they have drafted and spent money in FA in their secondary. Their OT are UDFA fodder and Rivers gets sacked about 40 times every year because of it.

Not at all. I dont think the Cowboys would even be smart enough to take a QB at 4 if one of them dropped. But surely you can see the stupidity in lauding Wentz if you wanted him at 4 correct? We may never know.

The knee has held up so far; we've been lucky.

His lifespan in the league could be less than expected.

He can still pass a physical, but if the cartilage starts to go he'll have no value.

Yeah, who knows? They could have been feeding that info to those guys as a smokescreen to try to get Wentz to fall to them.

On one hand, I find it hard to believe that someone would point blank tell Mike Fisher that Lynch was their top QB knowing what a loudmouth he is. On the other, I remember two years ago when everyone in the media knew exactly who Dallas was targeting on draft day only to see him go to the Steelers a pick earlier.
