Giving up any picks to move up in this draft is a bad move. Especially for a DB.

Agreed. Giving up any picks to move up from #4 would be unwise.

Trading back into the late first if Paxton Lynch falls is feasible depending on the price.

Just depends..

I wouldn't move up for Ramsey but I'd rather have Ramsey than Bosa and our prototypical 3rd.

if you have the 1st pick, what the hell difference how close to the vest you keep it?

What's it going to be then, eh?

For the Rams, they probably don't care. But I am sure that Goodell has asked them to keep the dramatics in place so the suspense of the draft remains intact.

I think between now and next Monday, most will know who they are taking. What happens at #2 and #4 is the real suspense. Will be a long 10 days.

Still a chance someone might offer to trade into your spot....though it seems far-fetched.
Cleveland kind of fell for that in 2012 when the 1st two picks where locks and everyone knew Minn wanted the LT, Matt Kalil, and wasn't going to take RB, but somehow they convinced Cleveland that they might or they might trade the pick. Cleveland, amazingly, fell for it and traded up 1 slot (so traded places with Minn) so they could get....Trent Richardson :lmao:

meanwhile, Minn got the extra picks--a 4th, 5th, and 7th-- plus still gets their man Kalil.
Unreal

But really, I think they're just trying be sure which guy to take. Supposedly they have a leader in the clubhouse, but are not certain yet.

Schefter was on Ross Tucker's podcast and he said that the Rams are leaning towards Goff.

So true...

Got a feeling Cleveland wants out and I wonder if the Giants come up for Tunsil or Philly comes up for Wentz.

Schefter has been saying that since the trade happened. It has been conflicted by numerous other people. Not saying they aren't taking Goff, but I highly doubt anyone outside of that FO knows unless they want them to know.

Yeah...I don't buy that for a second.

I think the Rams say who it is and it would cause more action with other teams trying to outbid each other to get to the #2 slot if it is the player they want.

According to the LA Times the NFL asked the Rams to keep things quiet and up the drama:

"Multiple people with knowledge of the situation say the NFL has asked the Rams to keep their quarterback choice quiet until the draft, thereby sustaining the drama. Jerry Goff said "he has a pretty good idea" where his son is headed, without revealing his preference, but that he doesn't want to get his hopes too high before NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell reads Jared's name."

Just don't see the fit of Goff and the Rams. They have Gurley---they don't need to mismatch him with a guy who has spent his last 3 years out of the shotgun passing the majority of snaps, with a few delayed draws..............vrs Wentz who's team philosophy was smashmouth football run 1st out from underneath the center in a pro-set offense........

don't mind Goff going to the Iggles....but is actually more of a fit for a pass 1st WCO the Iggles are going with.......
