The Rams had a terrible defense last season. Matthews is not a fit in the 4-3 system.

Maybe if he didn’t want to be a starter. It’s not a bad thing to put a vet on this defense

Q is, can he still rush the passer and how much would he cost? You can drop in a RL into a classic DE slot on 3rd and 20. Tyron Crawford can handle the running downs.

Don't like the guy because he is a cheap shot artist who got shots on Romo and Dak.

However, if he were our cheap shot artist my heart might soften a bit.

He does have some DOG in him and this defense needs some of that.

..you know Big Mike, will be looking at this situation. Clay is faster and bigger than Lee. Had more sacks then our LB crew and he's older..lol.. Wouldn't be surprised if Dallas picks him up.

I think it could work a lot on 3rd downs. Imagine Gregory, McCoy, Lawrence and Matthews.
In the lineup that you propose, who would be the other DT besides McCoy? Gregory and Matthews are both in the 255 lb range.
