Ranch Roundup: Jerry Jones says Cowboys won't tank, but when season ends he'll 'lust' for highest dr

This ownership and team is reaching practical joke levels. I'm not even disappointed reading this stuff anymore. If they think Jason is a great coach then fine..I won't lose any sleep over it.

These men are salesmen. This is how they keep the money rolling in. If they tell you they're going to tank, or ditch their head coach, people may not continue to support Jerry's world, or Jerry's apparel.

They said the same thing about Wade right before they fired him. Things change fast.

Every time Jerry Jones opens his mouth its yet another embarrassment.

Only Jerry would use the word "lust" when talking about matters related to football. And at 73 years old, it comes off lecherous at best.

Does he even know where he is anymore? Or has he completely checked out?

But at least he brought "**********" into football lexicon forever.

This thread is like watching some completely obvious plot twist slowly dawn on characters in a movie who should have seen it coming about 15 minutes into the script. And it's a horror movie. And for some reason, you're rooting for the monsters because the characters just have it coming for not seeing it for what it was at the very start.

Yes, yes we know. This organization likes Jason Garrett.

This team could go 0-16 and JG would still be the head coach. Ive said it before and ill say it again. Only way JG gets fired is if he sleeps with Jerrys wife. The only way. And even then I wouldn't believe it.

How about his daughter?

I was gonna add my.....

ah, who am I kidding, I got nothin' to add to the slop that is the FO...all I can do at this point is look at the Cowboys as entertainment, something to do for 3 hours on a sunday during the regular season...

So Jerry is lusting after a draft pick?

But the so called "real fans" on this site say that draft position does not matter and you can pick just a good of a player anywhere.

I don't think I've read you post anything like that.

Just liking this wasnt enough. I needed to auote it to reiterate the "like".

LOL. Panicky thread. Relax and enjoy the last few Cowboy games until September 2016. The people at the top say one thing and do different things down the road. We have seen them do it plenty of times.

The only thing they do well is mediocrity.

I agree. Total magnanimous use of the word "lust". As if the product on the field wasn't bad enough our GM had to show off his impressive vocabulary to squash any faith that we fans may have. Yeah take that Carolina and New England, our GM and Owner sucks but his vocabulary is awesome. I bet you would trade your 13-0 record or your recent super bowls for an Owner and GM that uses the words magnanimous and lust in the same interview.

Just a bunch of generic speak from Jones. I wouldn't expect him to come out and blast Garret-Top at this point in the season with Dallas still technically in the hunt for the division crown/playoff spot. However, I fully expect this entire coaching staff to come back in-tact for 2016. The Jones' are going with the injury excuse for 2015.

Garrett is coming back, as for the rest I am not so sure.

Garrett did say in his presser that it is unexplainable how the defense cannot get any takeaways this year. That is directly pointing the finger at Marineli, so if I was him I would not make any major purchases right now because if there is one thing Garrett will do, it is throw assistants under the bus to save his own skin.

How many assistant coaches have come and gone is Garrett was named head coach?.............I lost count myself.
