Cobb has more yards per reception and more TDs (Beasley has zero TDs).

Yards/Reception is a better measure of performance.

Bulk yards and bulk targets is a function of the specific offense.

Lol...no.

By this logic, a lot of #2/3 WRs are better than #1s.

Harper was better than Irvin. Hell, in 1994, he was the best WR in the league.

I get all Bills games living in WNY. He has been effective if he has a LB on him. But he hasnt got separation consistently VS DB's

I'd need to see numbers supporting that.

Cole averaged about 35 yards a game once we traded for Cooper and had one touchdown..coincidentally it was his final, infamous regular season catch. That giants game also really inflated his numbers. Only 4 of his 9 games with Cooper eclipsed 40 yards, he had a 3 game stretch where he had 32 yards...combined.

Cobb already has 3 games over 40 yards.

This is admittedly a more prolific passing offense but Cobb can do more and has been better with Cooper. Trading for Cooper last season effectively took Beasley out of the offense. His only standout performance was week 17 and I can’t remember if Cooper even played that whole game. He averaged only 28 yards a game in the other 8 games with Cooper.

When we get to the playoffs we get outcoached. The players have to be so good that they can execute and win despite that. I don’t see our Defense being able to do that. Offense can put points up.

Lol, no it's not. Yay Cobb has one more TD on a team with 3x more passing TDs! Wippee!!!!!

Yards per reception is a function of a player's role on a specific offense and Beasley covers the underneath. That's like saying DeSean Jackson is better than Keenan Allen, just a silly statement but you already knew that.

I will say that Cobb has way more drops though on less targets

Let's not strawman Xwalker.

In your defense you weren't the only one wrong on this board.

80% here get all warm and fuzzy when there is a new shiny toy that arrives and they immediately make claims of that player definitely being an upgrade over the incumbent. Happens every single year, mostly with players that signed larger contracts.

Hell Jelks was better than Crawford the second we drafted him.

Just watch we are gonna let Byron walk and then we'll draft a guy in the 5th and he will "for sure" be an upgrade.

I'd say that was indicative of the offense rather than Beasley becoming a bad player, wouldn't you?

How do the numbers compare between Beasley and Cobb to this point this year?

It's such a weird hill to die on

He gets too passionately locked into a certain thought process. And then he comes up with data supporting what he originally felt and works the numbers to where he feels he's right. And he can't and won't hear of any dissenting opinions, going so far as to block people over simple disagreements. Take it from someone who knows. And when someone acts in that way? It's clear they're not about exchanging information and ideas, but about propaganda, and trying to make their opinions, the rule.

What's the latest 'Cobb vs Beasley' scorecard?

Or should we not bring that up?
After 5 games ..

Beasley: 267 yards 9.9 yards per catch 69.2% completion % 0 TDs
Cobb: 210 yards 12.4 yards per catch 63.0% completion % 1 TD

You could argue either way on who is having a better season, with Beasley getting more targets and receptions, and Cobb getting more yardage per reception and having a TD, but a factor that should be considered is that Cobb is playing as the Cowboys #3 receiver, and Beasley is playing as the Bills #2 receiver.

They are both good players. They might play the same position but are different in how they execute it. We got a hell of a deal with Cobb there's no denying that a all but the real question is who replaces him next year.

Maybe @xwalker will make a thread.

Beasley practiced fully today, he also has 25% more receiving yards.

But he's "DEFINITELY" an upgrade over Beasley the second we signed him.

People will just bring up the "bad attitude". Because we don't need that here. He also quits on teams, they'll say, and we don't stand for players who quit, especially after they get paid.
