We are fortunate to have the suck continue.
We played well enough to win today and were "lucky" foe the miscues. We don;t need to drop 5-6 picks in each round.
Because just about everyone we repalce will have to be in the draft.
This team doesn't have big-time free agency spending spree money.

According to Sportstrac with no adjusted figures we currently almost 9 million under the cap. With the cap increase, cuts and restructures we should have plenty of money to make some substantial moves, whether it be at safety, wide receiver or defensive tackle.

Between the draft and FA I see a substantial infusion of new and young players to an already decent core in what is shaping up to be another mediocre division next season. With Romo's return, no other team can expect the upgrade in overall performance that we can expect.

Will it happen - I don't know. Should we expect it - absolutely.

A top tier QB who missed most of the season, a top tier WR who missed games and has been gimpy all year, and an elite pass rusher who served a four game ban and is clearly rusty from missing over a year.

Some of you need to go look up the word context

And you need to look up what good coaching looks like.

I don't think he's a bust either but I don't see him materializing into anything other than a middle of the pack DB. He's good enough to where I can see him hanging around the league for 10 seasons but I don't ever see him being a difference maker. Which is what most sane people assessed going into the draft.

Unfortunately the Cowboys valued combine stats over on the field performance so it's looking like they're the latest team to fall in love with an average player who's nothing more than a workout warrior.

I disagree, once he settles into one position he will be a play maker.

Time will tell.

I think the Cowboys have found a RB......DMAC has had his best game in years....still like to see them draft a top RB but impressed with DMAC

There is one thing I definitely see and so must everybody else.

While we have our problems..

so does every team in our division.

If there is any Silver Lining..

it is that nobody is head and shoulders better than us.

Which means its now up to the off season manuvers draft and FA signings and injury healing..

to get us back in the right direction.

We can do it.

My thought is: This team is two players away on defense (Sam LB and playmaking safety) and, not including Romo, two players away on offense (blue chip RB and playmaking TE) from being a legit playoff team/Super Bowl contender. The key, though, would be Romo staying healthy.

I liked what I seen from Terrence Mitchell, and Olentaye [sp?] had a pick in the end zone, so want to see more of them both.
Did Swaim get much action today, anyone notice how he looked?

Byron Jones is NOT a bust....but always one in the crowd ...LOL...Carr is awful a good part of the time.....And a WR was making catches, Butler looked decent to me. Maybe they need a QB that is accurate.

Yes, really need to draft a QB. We will have the pick this year to do it.
Yes, need to draft a RB. I like DMC, but need a young stud RB.

"With this crappy season does anyone find themselves in a a nonplussed meh kind of mood even after a great or terrible play?"
Yes, throughout this game, I was like, well, that was good, or after a bad play, I was like, well that was good too [thinking draft pick there of course ;)]. But it didn't bother me like it normally would.
I think my blood pressure was on an even keel the entire game. For once.
KM is what he is, just ok but not the future.

I went into this game hoping for a win but anticipating a loss. The Cowboys did not disappoint. :p

My thought is your "player away" count is low,
