Lawrence is pretty good player but jones is just average at best not a difference maker or first roung player.

My son and I watched the game and both agree that watching the current Cowboys team is similar to watching corn grow. Pretty boring to say the least. We have so few playmakers anywhere and seem to play such a vanilla game on both offense and defense. Innovation is a term the Cowboys' coaches have never heard of it seems. Goodness I miss good coaching.

Or at least coaching that is engaged in the game and not reacting like they are petrified.

Didn't watch today's game but through the season he has done well covering some elite TEs. He's a work in progress.
How can anyone give up on the kid and call him a bust is beyond me.

I think the Cowboys have found a RB......DMAC has had his best game in years....still like to see them draft a top RB but impressed with DMAC

DMC had 129 yards thru the first 5 games..and 11 yards in the Panther games..and will still get close to 1100 yards this season with this mess of an offense..that is impressive...

A top tier QB who missed most of the season, a top tier WR who missed games and has been gimpy all year, and an elite pass rusher who served a four game ban and is clearly rusty from missing over a year.

Some of you need to go look up the word context

I think the context is we need all our star players in tip-top shape to win. Nevermind that teams like the Texans can win with our backup when we can't or the Steelers can stay afloat when their starter goes out or that the Ravens can beat the Steelers with a journeyman QB or the Rams can beat the Seahawks with a backup, WE need all our star players at their very best to win, especially with the playoffs on the line. :(

We are still in the hunt for a top ten draft pick

If we win next week, Jason will have a Campo record for the season at 5-11

If we lose next week, Jason Wil have a worse season than Campo

No matter if we win or not, people can no longer claim he has never had a losing season as they have tried to say with his 8-8 seasons.

While Kellen Moore might be more exciting to watch than Weeden or Cassel.... He is not the future starting QB for the Cowboys... He might be a future 2nd or 3rd stringer...maybe.

This team needs more offensive talent and a healthy Romo to win. It is clear we will not win due to coaching... If we win, We will win due to talent inspite of the coaching schemes on offense.

The FO needs to have learned a lesson this year... You can't just plug any RB behind this oline and expect it to be a success.

The lights have came on and are shining bright for DLaw.

How odd is it that back to back games the team gets ints from basically practice squad players

It was about 75 degrees with wind and rain in my part of WV today... Crazy for this time of year but seemed odd to see players in cold weather gear after I was out in the warm weather today. Heck if not for the rain I was going to mow today. I thought mowing a couple of days after Thanksgiving would be all it needed but with this weather I guess I was wrong.

With this crappy season does anyone find themselves in a a nonplussed meh kind of mood even after a great or terrible play? I used to curse or yell and fist pump. Now I might say meh or blow a half hearted raspberry toward the screen.

This mess of a season is almost over... Which mean the draft info and talk will start up. I love reading and talking about the draft prospects and frankly is about the only shows I watch or listen to on DC. Com I hope we get more people to join us in the draft zone when it starts heating up.

Ok... Throw out some of your random thoughts.

I have been that way since Parcells left. I knew Phillips was a dumb hire and Jerry just got dumber after that. Any success would be short lived.

second week, i was like, OH,NO!! JUST HANG ON UNTIL ROMO GETS BACK!!

since then, it's been like a little more air going out of a balloon each week.

Byron Jones is a heck of a prospect and I think he'll be a very good player for us but the flexibility talk is reallllly overrated IMO.

Jones is a nickel safety type. He can man cover Big WR or Shifty TE inside and he can play the run decently.

But he isn't a powerful box safetfy nor is he an outside CB. He may eventually develop as such but today he doesn;t look to have outside CB skills and not sure you want him to bulk up into a box type safety.

Play him over the top or play him in man. Pretty straight-forward and he could be really good at those 2 roles.

My thoughts:

Last year was fools gold. That is painfully obvious. The sad part is I was fooled too thinking this could be a "Super" season. I had hoped Garrett had turned the corner. I knew better but I still let myself get sucked in. His mistakes in the 8 - 8 groundhog day seasons cost us at least two games and the playoffs each season, to that there was no doubt. I just had hoped he had finally gotten it. This year we are back to the reality that we have a poor coach who brings absolutely nothing to the sideline.

Agree with everything bro

We can't win with coaching, we win with talent just like you said so that is why we have to lose these games to get high enough picks so we can out talent teams

Maybe if Garrett could coach and scheme a little we all would not have to root for loses

Can't remember being this let down by a Cowboys team in a long time. We are not supposed to criticize this coaching staff here in this forum ...so I won't. Defense has no exotic blitzes and breaks, usually late in the 4th quarter when the game is on the line. This offense is anemic, worst I can remember ever. Romo is a master qb or something because no other qb has ran this offense in a manner in which he has. DMC has done well this year, but we need youth going forward and need to draft a stud at that position with DMC complimenting him. I never felt all day we were sniffing the end zone, I was right. Let the draft get here soon and training camp begin where new hope abounds throughout Cowboys Nation and the cussin and fussin permeates our fan bases living rooms/man caves on game days as we live and die with our team once again.
