Not really. He was a 2nd round pick and is still on his rookie deal. Since there was never a reason to cut him, the Cowboys didn't. It's not like the Cowboys signed him as a FA.

They did a similar thing with Jaylon Smith.

They drafted him as a project intending to repair him and use him.

Knowing he had drug issues, knowing he already had one strike before they even selected him..

then taking him and he struck out with more suspensions.

But my point stands. On his rookie deal because of his suspensions and cant play. No contract if you are banned from the field.

When Gregory was last in the field he was the best DL in Dallas. It’s 100 pct true. He was a beast for a stretch. Seemed to get better every week. I hope the guy wants it.

As long as he doesn’t cost us a big win like he tried to do against Nawlins.
