That's just business tho. And it worked out fine for us. I stand by what I said.
It may have worked out fine for you because you didn't invest your second round draft pick on a guy that was a dope head and couldn't grow up and take his opportunity seriously.
You didn't invest time and money in a guy who turned out to be a bust and have no loyalty Jerry did
Worse yet we could have drafted Frank Clark

. Big test for DQ does he want him, can he get something out of him? I think I would give him another chance if he is up for it

Well, now he and David Irving can be colleagues.

Sidenote, I have no problem with people smoking weed. The above comment was meant as a joke.

This is the type of people we have here. Him and this Erod character. What exactly makes him a piece of trash and a POS? Tyson is right, the internet got people too comfortable saying things without getting punched in the moutf
The constantly guy put himself ahead of the team. He was incredibly selfish and it was able to go on for years because he was one of Jerry's special gambles. Imagine being a guy like Armstrong and you bust your butt doing everything possible to help the team and this clown comes back from his most recent suspension, falls asleep in meetings, shows up on Sundays and starts taking your snaps. Then you find out he is even more selfish on the field. Zero interest in tackling anyone unless it is a clean sack which hardly ever happened. The guy had 85 total tackles in 50 games as a Cowboy. He takes at least one stupid penalty per game some of them for things I have never even seen before. Armstrong and the guys like him in the locker room who are trying their best do not respond well to this type of stuff nor should they.

Randy Gregory is the very definition of a toxic player. He drug this team down for years and Jerry still tried to hand him a large free agent deal. Honestly not sure how anyone who follows the team closely enough to be on a message board like this can have anything but distaste for Randy. Jerry cares more about himself and his draft picks than he does the team. I get that. His motivations are often not aligned with winning but at least he has motivations and you can understand his actions. Why a Cowboy fan would be motivated to defend Randy is beyond me. Are you related to him or something?

Earlier this year some folks wanted McCarthy to be fired in favor of Sean Payton. Now a player who was cut by Sean Payton mid season after underperforming is available. Do these same people want this player? Or are they different people? I gave up on Randy after he called us toxic.

Why would he be a good guy?

If I had a business colleague who was completely unreliable and didn’t show up to work most of the time because he was suspended and high…..I wouldn’t consider him to be a “good guy”.

I would consider him to be quite the opposite…..actually……
He was unreliable due to his anxiety problem (widely reported), he didn't cause problems when on the team like fighting with teammates, causing other locker room problems, was apparently always respectful to coaches and so forth.

By a good guy I mean he wasn't getting arrested for barroom fights, etc. That's separate from his playing....

Are there? Tons more that don't.
True. That's a fun made-up misnomer by the weed-smokers.

I can't tell you how many I've fired over the years. Can't get a full day out of them, and they're painfully irresponsible in their lives.

If you’re in a rural area in Texas prob not .

But most of the more open minded states with legalization have more professionals. It’s widespread in the entertainment , the arts, media, and music business.

Most of these kids in legal states are smoking it before cigarettes now which are illegal to buy while weed isn’t illegal to consume.

It’s the choice in high school and college now over alcohol which I’d argue is a good thing.
Well, that's the rhetoric that some would like you to believe, yes.

Yeah, talk to some employers out in the real world and that is what you'll hear. Which I have. Carbon copies of Mr. Gregory, woefully underperforming. When you can get them to show up, that is.

There’s a big difference between habitual underperforming pot heads and successful professionals with recreational use of weed.
