I think Adrian Peterson just got even scarier. With Adrian not having to worry about eight man fronts he should surpass 2000 easily. I don't think Randy will be fully ready when we play the vikings in two weeks. I doubt he learns the system that fast.

He only runs one route....straight down the sideline

He only runs Go routes, skinny posts and stop fades.

Not that hard to figure out.

learns what? Moss runs 2 or 3 routes no matter what kind of offense he's in.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to say anyone should ever reach 2,000 yards easily, regardless of the situation. I'm not saying it's not possible, because I agree he has elite talent and Moss will help open things up even more, but that's a pretty big number to toss out as being and expected goal.

Moss may not have completely learned the system in 2 weeks, but he isn't a newcomer who is still adjusting to the NFL, and he can learn a hell of a lot in 2 weeks. I would be surprised if he isn't prominant in Minnesota's game plan.

Will this rejuvenate Favre or will he perform like the old fart that he is?

I hope Favre doesn't perform like the old fart he was last year - it was probably his best season ever.

I don't recall ever beating Moss, I remember before that wake-up home game against the Pats a few years ago, he was averaging over 100 yds and 1-2 TD's per game against us.

We need to hit Brittany harder this game, they will pound Romo legally and illegally regardless of what we do.

Pats now have 2 picks in each of the first four rounds of the 2011 draft. Their franchise management makes ours look pathetic. They day in day out out-manage, out play and out coach us. We have just as much talent as they do, if not more, but they handle all the "little" things and geez...its a real shame we don't have what they have at the management level or else we would be set for years.

Unfortunately Moss Style fits Favre's who likes to just chuck the ball up and let his Wr's run under it.

We could do the same thing if we traded down out of the first every other year to add picks. The Pats last 6 1st round picks look like this:

2010 - Devin Mcourty
2009 - No selection
2008 - Jerod Mayo
2007 - Brandon Meriweather
2006 - Laurence Maroney
2005 - Logan Mankins

Ours look like this:

2010 - Dez Bryant
2009 - No selection
2008 - Mike Jenkins, Felix Jones
2007 - Anthony Spencer
2006 - Bobby Carpenter
2005 - Demarcus Ware, Marcus Spears

Yeah, they're so much better at this than us. :lmao2:

We find Miles Austin's and Tony Romo's. Yeah, we really suck because we don't have lots of high round picks.

Their team is looking pretty shabby right now. Their defense is beyond suspect, their offensive line isn't quite what it was. They don't have a proven RB, and finally Welker is their only real receiving threat right now.

Randy Moss still has game. (and a lot of it)

Right now, I doubt the Patriots make the playoffs. They are (and have been) in a downward spiral of late. It will continue this season. With the trade of Randy Moss, they have officially entered the rebuilding phase. I hope Brady realizes, he just signed away any chance at another championship when he signed that new contract.

Moss can do what only five players have done in NFL history

10/6/2010 9:22:31 AM

Randy Moss will have the opportunity to do what only five other players have done in NFL history, play in 17 regular season games.

The others are:

Chris Singleton, Patriots & Dolphins in 1993
Dexter Carter, Jets & 49ers in 1995
Jerry Rice, Raiders &Seahawks in 2004
Micah Ross, Chargers & Panthers in 2004
Will Witherspoon, Rams & Eagles in 2009

Argue if you want. But any reasonable person is going to agree the Patriots are managed better and are more consistently put in a better position to be successful by said management than we are.

Ours is not terrible, there are for sure worse in the league, but ours does not compare with the pats.

I'd also remind you Brady was found a similar way as Romo, as was Welker, I believe, so I would not hang my hat on that too much, and how long are you going to sit back and rely on that old argument, need to do a lot more than that to be considered with the best in the league.
