The Dolphins stupidly traded Welker to the Patriots and Brady was a Draft pick.

For all of their proper management they aren't any better off right now than other teams. They've ignored age at LB and are paying for it. They've lost players like Asante Samuel who clearly was a difference maker for them. They can't keep Randy Moss happy with a Tom Brady at QB.

Every team faces challenges and handles them differently. Having a lot of draft picks just means they need to draft well. They miss there like any other team.

Their drafting has been awful since Pioli left.

If Jones or anyone other than the Hoodie made this trade, the press would be all over it for being stupid. Yet the Hoodie gets away with it just like his 4th and 2 from his own 28 last year.

Yet, they're in the playoffs about every year.

Well, up until last year the Jets, Dolphins, and Bills combined to give them 6 easy wins a year, so getting to 10 or 11 wins a year isn't that hard for them.

Last few years the Pats have not been exactly tearing it up in getting value with their top draft choices. And Moss is not what he was even 3 years ago.

I think the Pats got a good deal.

Just because I can get a good deal selling my car to somebody doesn't mean I should sell it. The Patriots made a dumb move here. They lost a key piece to their offense for a pick that adds to five others they have in the first three rounds. After this season it pays off but why throw away this one?

Everything isn't about the Cowboys.

Second, the Hoodie was criticized for the 4th and 2 decision.

This reminds me of TO leaving the cowboys. Just because no one outside of the Cowboy Nation knew about Miles Austin doesnt mean he wasnt good. The Patriots have faith from what I read in their young recievers (Edelman, Tate). The Pats were smart enough to get something while they could. I dont blame them.

I hate that this trade happened. Patriots were stupid to do this - they weakened themselves. This was the move that Favre and the Vikings needed to rejuvenate them. Moss will play inspired football. He's far from washed up and Favre will heave it up to him often for big plays. They are our toughest matchup personnel-wise and this move just pissed me off - a lot.

no doubt that the Patriots are masters at acquiring draft picks. They're a draftnick's ideal team. They're also outstanding at trading vets for draft choices and keeping the roster young and cap friendly.

Problem is this though: who's roster would you take right now, Cowboys or Patriots ? Other than Brady, Mayo, and " maybe " Merriweather, there is no other player on that roster that starts for the Cowboys.

Think about that for a minute.

That's a franchise that's 3 years removed from an undefeated season and a trip to the SB and they have, maybe, 3 players that starts for the Cowboys right now.

I'm not so sure they will be in the playoffs this year. Especially after getting rid of Moss.

Welker is going to have so many defensive backs on him this year, he won't be anywhere near as effective as he has been. They don't have to send all their safeties down field to stop Moss anymore. The middle of the field where he does his damage will be locked down.

Aaron Hernandez looks great, but a slot WR and a TE play in mostly the same spaces. Neither stretch the field. That means the defense isn't going to have to thin out their coverage protecting deep.

Of course, the Pats offensive line isn't what it used to be nor do they have a proven running back.

Top that off with an extremely suspect defense.

Nothing is certain in the NFL, but the Patriots failing to make the playoffs after the Moss trade is getting damn close.

The only thing I would like to say is that how in the name of Favre do the Vikings bring back a guy that didn't want any part of 6-7 years ago? It's not that Moss shut down an offer from the Vikings to the Raiders? They traded him there. Do they think Randy changed or what?

Randy Moss = Terrell Owens. Major talent. Major headcase.

Ran out of every place he's played at. Minnesota. Oakland. New England.

Coming soon - Minnesota x2.

It's going to be funny next year when T-Jax is throwing to him and he shuts it down on them next season like he was doing this year.

Moss has always had issues. But I in no way think he was ever the locker room cancer that TO was, and I like TO.

The Pats are going NOWHERE this year. Have you seen their defense play? They don't have one. They are literally figuring (or not) things out on the fly.

Moss is at the end and they know it. They got while the 'gittin' was still good. Moss isn't nearly the player he once was anyways not to mention he is poison.

NE sees the forest for the trees IMO.
