Moreau is soft as butter.

I do have a slight concern with any player that is converted from offense to defense. There's instincts and a mentality that can't be taught. With that said, in terms of size and athletic ability Moreau is pretty much the prototypical CB for today's NFL.

It does not always happen the consensus "best" corner really is. That is why the position is very much like WR, hard to evaluate due to systemic biases and translation to the NFL. Plus they are often flaky and it takes the right mental makeup to get it in the NFL.

2015 - Trae Waynes, Kevin Johnson, Marcus Peters - we know who the best one was, Waynes has been close to bust level
2014- Marcus Gilbert, Will Fuller, Darqueze Dennard - none of them really; best corner is Bradley Roby who was picked 31st
2013 - Dee Milliner, D.J. Hayden, Desmond Trufant - Trufant, hands down, Xavier Rhodes was taken next and might be even better and Darius Slay went 36th
2012 - Claiborne, Stephen Gilmore, Dre Kirkpatrick - Claiborne was a bust, fourth picked was Janoris Jenkins
2011 - Patrick Peterson, Prince Amukamara, Jimmy Smith - Peterson obviously.

I don't have any proof on this but I think sometimes people get caught up in 40 times with some of the top prospects and discount the ability to make plays on the ball. This is tough to judge as some of the interceptions are just poor throws. A guy can be a 4.4 corner and have all the quickness meaurables but if is not a playmaker, there value goes way down in my opinion.

I would think the ideal Marinelli corner would not need to have the elite speed. They need to be fast enough, but more important is the ability to play smart and make plays when they arrive. It is why I am typically against taking a corner in the top 10.

I think all of you are under rating Jourdan Lewis
He has to beat the domestic violence charge, which might not happen before the draft. He's going to get dropped down and even off some draft boards with that hanging over his head.

He'd be a great pickup in the third or fourth. I didn't include him on my list specifically because of the charge.

They are saying to "wait & see" with this charge, FWIW. Remember that Greg Jackson coached him up in 2015. That will be very telling.

Dwayne Goodrich , Kareem Larrimore and Mario Edwards .....ring a bell? Not sure that worked out so well for us. Hopefully Jerry will remember this draft day blunder....But I seriously doubt it.

That was a different era. Jerry was more into dropping in the draft and accumulating picks as if he knew whom to draft. We were more into flash and dash instead of substance.

I get no inclination that we're the same now.

My guess is it eventually gets dropped, reading the details I'm on his side in this one

When the cops state there was no evidence of assault I pretty much chalk it up as another bogus charge.

2nd round.
