The others aren't 6-4 with frame to add weight and I don't really see coverage skills that would make Watt a good fit for 4-3 OLB.

I also suspect teams will inevitably assess him within the context of JJ. I'm probably guilty of giving him a boost based on his genes.

Good point, for some reason I thought Watt was shorter and only like 235...but with that said, he's still not a "twitchy" athlete and wins mostly with power and hustle. As strong as he is that's not the greatest way of making a living in the NFL going against 320 lb monsters at the point of attack. Still think he might be able to be a base 2 down SAM though. A 3-4 team will probably draft him much earlier tho (partly based on name) and have him be their Spencer type strong side OLB.

Vic Beasley was 6'3 246. If he's a 4-3 DE most of the other guys including my top guy Harris (since we can't get Bennett or Garrett) are 4-3 DEs

Get good players regardless of position and things will work out.
It feels like the late 1 depth should match up well with our needs/wants. EDGE, CB, WR, and TE could all be best in that area and we could use all of those.

Beasley's not really a 4-3 DE. He's a nickel rusher. He plays off the line on run downs. He moves to the line in likely passing downs. He's also listed as an OLB by Atlanta and wears a jersey # in the LB range. They tried him at full-time DE last year and it was not effective.

Beasley has played down more frequently of late due to teams getting forced into abandoning the run, as well as the usual LDE being injured. Even when he's in a 3 pt stance he's lining up about 8 ft wide of the RT most of the time. That's not how Marinelli plays DEs.

Also, I'll be very shocked if your guy will be testing like Beasley. Beasley was a top 5 combine performer in his position group for everything but the long shuttle. McKinley might be in the ballpark athletically.
