There are some good quarterbacks in the NFC playoffs this year.

I'd rank them.....

1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Matt Ryan
3. Russell Wilson
4. Matt Stafford
5. Dak Prescott
6. Eli Manning

(I would rank a healthy Tony Romo 2nd.)

The AFC is far inferior....

1. Tom Brady
2. Ben Roethlisberger
3. Alex Smith
4. Ryan Tannehill
5. Brock Osweler
6. Connor Cook

(Derek Carr would be 3rd.)

I think you're spot on, except Dak might just edge out Stafford.

LOL at the people ranking Romo near the top. I am not saying you are wrong, but if that is the case, why in the world isn't he starting?

Good question. It sure isn't based on his abilities
.
Must be more to it.
Like team continuity, strong play and health reliability of Dak, the future, etc.
These are all very good reasons.

Still, though I'm not one arguing for him to play, Romo did not get beat out. That is 100% for sure.

That's pretty much exactly how I'd rank them (with Cook being the unknown - Is Tannehill going to play? I'd put Moore in the same spot).

That's an easy one: the team has decided that Dak is the starter. And even if you believe that healthy Romo is better than healthy Dak, that decision can be perfectly rational if you believe the durability issues outweigh the ability differential. Of course, the playoffs are a different story: it should be all hands on deck. I'm really curious about what would happen if we go into halftime of a playoff game with (a) Dak and the offense struggling and (b) a two-score deficit. If I had to bet, I think Tony takes over in that scenario.

I also agree with Erod's rankings, those two (Dak/Stafford) are probably interchangeable dependent on your offensive system.

However, anyone who thinks any GM would take Romo over Matt Ryan in a playoff game this weekend is smoking rocks.

You're right. Ryan's definitely better based on both his play and being less injured.
