Nguyen

LVE
Coakley
Smith
I will say

Nguyen*
Lee*
Coakley
LVE
Smith

The top two would be untouchable if not for injuries.
Coakley was very good even being undersized.
The bottom two are too young.

Smith in front of Lee? Ignore durability for this question.

There’s also obviously guys with completed careers and guys with only a couple of years in the league. I included durability in the criteria but mainly just who would you want out there playing for you.

1. Lee - I'm probably too partial to him, but as instinctual and savvy a LB as I've seen. Probably at or near the top at his position when he was in his prime, which we all know was marred by injury.
2. Coakley - a big play machine, seemed to make them when needed most. Played the most games out of these 5 guys.
3. Nguyen - relentless, and a leader on some really poor teams.
4. Smith - I'm only putting the young guys last because its too early. More of a playmaker than LVE, unreal talent. Sometimes he plays too out of control for my tastes.
5. LVE - He's still learning, which makes last season all the more remarkable. He's regressed a bit, but I'm hopeful.

Depends on the criteria.

Lee at his peak was the best.

LVE can do things the other can't.

Coakley and Nguyen were very consistent.

Jaylon might be the best pass rusher.

Coakley had the most trade value...

I liked Nguyen a lot. I vaguely remember a lot of teams passed on him because he was unheralded or too small or something

It's hard to compare guys on this list. We've seen the careers of Dat, Dexter and just about for Sean. Leighton and Jaylon are just beginning.

I would say for ceiling, LVE has the highest of them all.
For top (proven)play hard to beat a younger Lee when he was healthy and could force T.O.s
Consistency Nguyen and Coakley were that on bad teams.
For hard hitting and closing speed Smith can track down guys, even on less than ideal angles.
