I don't have Coleman in there because we already have a bigger and faster version on our roster.

I'm kinda suprised at how many people have Davis ranked so low.

He did not look explosive last year at all. He was definitely a bit overweight. Plus, his brother was a very good college back who did nothing in the pros.

James Davis out of Clemson? I never made that connection.

That's probably in line with most analyst's rankings. Haven't seen too many who rank him in their top five or six.

I think most media analysts look at stats more than game footage for player outside the top 50.

I don't see that in the games I have access to.

Something happened in game 11 and he only had 1 carry. His carries were down after that. In the next game after the 1 carry game he had several good runs but appeared to be shying away from contact and appeared be in pain at some points.

I think he was injured in that 11th game and not quite the same afterwards. He did not appear to be a bad condition to me.

Maybe he does have some work-ethic issues, but I don't see it just based on game footage.

It's more his body type. To me, he definitely looked heavier and less explosive than he did in 2013. To me, as long as he is in shape, he could be a contributor to a team, but as a complimentary back.

I'm fine with a complimentary back for a 3rd round pick. They would have to check out his mental makeup to see if he really has work ethic issues.

He said at the combine or pro-day that he felt better now that he was at 217 which was down from his playing weight of 225.

He's a very good back, but I would worry a bit about durability at his size. His lower body is not developed particularly well, compared to a Barry Sanders/Emmitt Smith, who were the same approximate height/weight dimensions. Scheme fit wise, he's a very good fit. Pass protection is also a concern.

Probably my 3 favorite backs in this class are Todd Gurley, Duke Johnson and Jeremy Langford.

I don't see anything special in Duke..what do you love? Watching his videos...both on DB and highlight reels..a lot of meh

He's instinctive, patient, can run inside or outside, is a great pass catcher and can block to boot.

Love the player.

1st- Gurley

Trade back from 1st- Gordon, Coleman

2nd- Ajayi (the knee is something I'd gamble on)

If we were to acquire a pick between 60-91- Yeldon, Duke

3rd- Buck Allen, Mike Davis, Langford

That's pretty much where I'm at in that order. And I honestly feel perfectly fine with any of those scenarios. If the worst case scenario is that we get 2 good prospects in rounds 1 and 2 have to settle for Langford in the 3rd then we are in pretty good shape.
