Davis is the most intriguing guy of the RB prospects as I see it.

NFL sources told TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline that South Carolina RB Mike Davis' conditioning was "not ideal" at his pro day workout.

"Davis was not running through drills and struggled to get through pass-catching drills," Pauline wrote. "Interesting note - the Dallas Cowboys sent a coach to specifically observe Davis. During the workout, which was run by the Tampa Bay Bucs, the Cowboys' coach was requesting for Davis to run specific drills. Shades of Tom Savage/Bill O'Brien from last year?" One would think Dallas takes a superior RB prospect earlier in the draft, but keep this note in mind if they pass on runners in the first few rounds.

I think he's explosive and has a great frame. But I don't think he really cares about football. Didn't play well this last year and was out of shape for his pro day. Sounds like he wants to play but only for the money.

I don't think I'd touch him before the 4th. But if he really takes it seriously, gets into shape, and plays hard, he could be right up there with the top guys.

Good find on that blurb.

I've heard the conditioning rumors but only the teams really know the mental-makeup of the player. We the fans don't really get a good insight into their mental-makeup unless they fail drugs tests of that type of thing.

Based strictly on game footage he is way underrated, IMO.

Good job putting that together. I'm surprised that Ajayi was above Coleman.

I move Duke Johnson up a tier specifically for his fit with the Cowboys. He was in the same type of Zone Scheme in college.

Unfortunately no one really knows. Some of these players look at making it to the NFL as winning the lottery. Once they get the money, they quit. It's the facts. Why do you think there are so many draft busts? The players had the ability, but didn't make an effort once they got paid.

Yeldon all the way IMO

T.J. YELDON, Alabama (6-1, 220, 4.54, 2): Third-year juniorjunior. "If the Cowboys are looking for a replication of DeMarco Murray then they should take him in the second or third round," one scout said. Stood out as a freshman, splitting carries with Eddie Lacy as the Crimson Tide won the national title. "I thought he was a hell of a runner, especially on the perimeter," another scout said. "On screens he's got great stop and start. He'll overmatch some DBs with his strength." Finished with 576 carries for 3,322 (5.8, 37 TDs) and 46 receptions. "He was not their best back (in 2014)," a third scout said. "Derrick Henry, the sophomore, was. He's not as good as Lacy, but he's better than (Mark) Ingram. Yeldon is really strong and has excellent balance, and he has really good hands. But they always catch him

Pretty sure I did that pre Ajayi knee problems and pre Coleman 40 time. Just judging by talk going on in the last week or 2 I would imagine they would definitely be switched.

I'm a little surprised you're that high on Duke...Do you see him being able to carry the ball 20-25 times per game consistently?

I was assuming you did the tabulation before Ajayi's knee issue surfaced. Even without the knee, I thought Coleman would be ahead of him.

I go back and forth on Duke Johnson. The size is an issue. I don't know if 25 carries per game is a good idea. I would be OK with him as part of a 2 man RB by committee if picked at #60. His demonstrated ability in the zone scheme both lowers the risk and makes it more likely he is productive early.

Duke Johnson is now Miami's all time leading rusher and leader in all purpose yards.

Cleveland Gary
Lamar Miller
Javarris James
Frank Gore
Willis McGahee
Clinton Portis
James Jackson
Alonzo Highsmith
Chuck Foreman
Ottis Anderson
Edgerrin James

Duke out rushed all of them. That's a pretty salty list. Yes, he can carry the load. And on top of it, he averaged a program-best of 6.73 yards per carry.

And compare that list to the Wisconsin greats that made it in the NFL. Give me Johnson over Gordon. Give me Langford over Gordon. Give me Coleman over Gordon. Heck, give me Buck Allen over Gordon.
