Remember everyone crying about how much Dak signed for when he signed. Now his contract is actually looking pretty good. It will be on repeat once he signs again. Dak is BALLING right now.
That’s the way the cap works. Fans feak out but 3-4 years down the road it starts to look reasonable. The cap will continue to rise and the owners have a really good idea where it will be years in advance. It’s not rocket science. The tv contract is a known revenue source year after year

The QB market is so misunderstood. QBs aren’t paid according to accomplishments. They are paid according two things: Market value (what every other team is paying to have a starting QB) and potential value of getting a team to the playoffs. Way too many fans judge QB contracts on what and why people get paid in the real world. And it’s apples and oranges.

Also - Cowboys fans worry way too much about the cap because we’ve been conditioned by Stephen Jones to believe it has way more handcuffing power than it does. In fact, some of these big contracts of five or more years allow teams to have some creative flexibility with the cap.

My worry level about extending Dak: 0%.
Yep
