As much as I continue to want to dial down Daks level to average to above average somewhere from middle to upper half almost all of these rankings I see from noteworthy sources place him either in top 10 or close to it.

So despite whatever criticism we may have of Dak and the fact he’s arguably not Elite he is considered in the upper echelon of the league . Top third would arguably be in the upper echelon.

If your opinion doesn’t align with these rankings then I think we can argue you might need to re-access your opinion not the rest of the league or these experts and analysts. Unless you want to align yourself with the trolls in the media simply inciting viewers for ratings.

Difficult to take any QB ranking seriously when it has Prescott at #8 and Cousins at #17. Hilarious how people try to argue a huge gulf between the two. Open your eyes...they are essentially the same QB. Also no Brady which pushes Prescott down to #9 even in an overrated ranking.

Most top 10 caliber franchise QB’s are paid what we refer to as Market Price when they resign which places them in elite salary for a limited time .

Most likely his salary will be more in line with his ranking or pecking order by next year. It’s already dropped considerably since he resigned .

And we can also point to our dysfunctional ownership for mismanaging the contract situation .

Currently Dak is ranked tied for 6th with highest salary . Which only places him a couple spots above most rankings . It will move down further next year .

It’s all about when you sign

Thats 4 new lists so far this year with an average of #7.

The trolls are nothing more then a bunch of cry babies that are too soiled to admit Dak turned out to be the QB they never thought he would be.

Those that supported Dak have won the argument in a landslide.

Heck, even the elite money stupidity was proven dead wrong.

8-13 all could be interchangeable depending on weekly outcomes. Kirk Cousins at 17 behind Jones, Hurts, and Jimmy G lolz....Dude gets no love.

If you want to play stat chasers he has stats on par with most in the 8-13 range if not better.

I would honestly take Cousions over anyone in the 8-14 range

And no brady?

Thats your problem right there. You think team weekly outcome would change anything. It doesnt.

All these QB's are as good as they are regardless of team success or failure.

A guy doesnt all of a sudden get better because his team won more games.

Agreed.
We have an above average, but not elite QB.
I think the issue with most here is that he is being paid elite money.

2 things........................

-Dak is just outside of elite. He is a top 10 QB and one of the best in the NFL.

-Dak is not paid elite money anymore buddy. He is the 7th highest paid QB in the NFL which is right where he should be. And it only took 2 years to get there, which is what many of us told the Dak turds it would be. And in neither of those two years did Dak cost the Cowboys over 30 million.

They are the last 4 that have been posted recently.

I think two had him at 7, one at 6 and one at 10.

As far as linking them, no you can do your own homework.

Your point was the 4 new rankings average 7th place. This is not a “new” one as you stated, it was actually made in February when Tom Brady was momentarily retired. So unless you believe, ironically enough, that SPORTS BOSTON of all people is the only outlet in the country that does not believe Tom Brady is a top 8 QB, then their actual ranking of Dak is now 9th. In fact, that very site posted the ESPN list with Brady 4th and said they didn’t have a “nit pick” with it:

https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/pa...ns-new-2022-ranking-nfls-top-quarterbacks?amp

So we have the ESPN 10th, and the Sports Boston updated 9th. In order now to get an average of 7th, the other two need to be 4th and 5th place. You said there are a couple that have him 7th. That would average him just after 8th place.

Now I’m not this Dak hater you’re fighting against, I also agree Dak is top 10. But I’m not finding these 2 articles saying he’s even top 7. No one would believe you just made that up on the spot, so it’d be great if you could link them because it’d be a great read for all the Dak fans.

Does it really matter if the average rating is 7, 8, 9 or 10?

The bigger point is these dispel the notion Dak suks . Lol

You can argue about semantics all you want. The last few lists that have come out on this site have Dak averaging top 7 QB and all in the top 10.

If that makes you angry thats not my problem. All of them have been posted on here.

Well, it matters to me because thats EXACTLY where I have him ranked. Toot Toot!!!

It dispels MANY notions. Clearly the Dak trolls cant take it.

So are you now a Dak confidant? I know in the Garrett years you had your doubts.

“Averaging” means every time he’s 9th or 10th, the next list needs him 4th or 5th to average 7th. I’ll knock off as many as I can to get to of these lists you’re hinting at:

PFF February Dak 10th:

Bleacher Report June Dak 10th:

that’s pretty close to all the major outlets. Again, no one is disputing you, but I would really like to know where these 7th overall rankings are coming from and the blurb as to why they put them there.

I’m not one who generally believes in anything without proven results . I think there will always be some doubt but this rhetoric he isn’t enough to build around and potentially take us there is sheer rubbish.

You don’t need an Elite HOF caliber QB. Would we rather have one and does it make it easier, of course. There are many other contributing factors which cause me more concerns than our QB which appears to be one of our strengths not weaknesses.

My intent is to speak out against the extremes on both sides as I believe most fans are more in the middle.

CR uses homer math when he averages, real math doesn't come into it. 7 to 12 magically is 7th, or he also says elite in may posts, his night school isn't working very well.
