Here's my ranking of all past DC and Marvel films. This would be the order I would watch them from most to least entertaining if I decided to do a DC/Marvel movie marathon. Of course, I would poke my own eyeballs out if I ever watched Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengence again. :p The lists were derived from two Wikipedia lists, which are linked below the rankings. 1978's Superman is the first legitimate DC/Marvel movie in my opinion, so my list begins with that year. I removed 1986's Howard The Duck because, well, I do not regard the character as a DC/Marvel comics hero. :)

I would have to put spiderman 2 and superman 2 higher into the top 10.

Take MOS, TDKR and Thor out of top 10

Three would drop out completely but only two would move up. What's the third movie that you would bump up to fill out your top 10?

TDK is first in my book all day every day... Thats one of my favorite films, forget comic book.

Batman Begins was a better film that TDKR
Spiderman & Spiderman 2 were better films than Man of Steel... although MOS was better looking.

All IMHO of course.

You know I looked and looked and couldn't find a legit movie to round out my 10.

Do, just to mix it up. Loki stole the show in T:TDW.
First time the villain really showed up the heroine.

Un-honorable Mentions:

I enjoyed cat woman, elektra and iron man 3 until the farce/fart scene.
The concept was good. The coding the suits to a person(s). The way they just didn't work and fell apart. Big turnoff.

Funny thing...

In the comics I was never a Capt America fan...just always seemed cheesy.
However I was a big Thor fan.
Always a big Avengers fan.

So when they were going to come out with the Capt America and Thor movies I thought for sure I would like the Thor ones and not care for the Capt. America ones.
Turned out to be the complete opposite. Capt America films are so much better and the Thor movies really kind of sucked IMO.

With that said I would not expect them to be in the top 10.
Nor would I put the Man of Steel in the top ten. Sorry but the superman reboots have not been that good.

If anything I might put the Original first or second superman movies up there. Sure they are cartoonish compared to the newer ones but at the same time they were so much bigger and fun to watch when they came out. Plus the old zod was much better than the new one.

oh and Catwoman and Steel need to be the bottom.

Love to look at Hali Berry but that movie was a cat TURD and Steel was even worse.

As hokie as the swamp thing movies were, at least they were fun to watch and I would love to see them do a reboot of them with some serious looking costumes or CSI on it, with a serious story line although they could still keep some of the humor.

Me too. Cap was corny but they made him a "real person".
Thor - just can't get that one going.

Xmen. Only really liked 1st class

1. Superman 2 (actually superman 1 and 2 were really one movie) but they cut it into 2. That's why you see 203 villains in beginning of sm1.)

2. Spiderman 2

3. Hulk tv series

4. Avengers 1st class

5 Captain America

1. TDK
2. Avengers
3. Cap 2
4. Batman Begins
5. Blade (don't think this should really count in the genre) If not, Cap 1. The first Blade was sick outside of Wesley's Bale impression @ roughing up his voice.

Agree with BrainPaint in that I like many more characters than Cap, his corniness can be a bit much (Wolverine/Thor/Hulk), but the portrayals/actors/plots have sucked on the big screen for the most part.

I can somewhat see that from my personal entertainment point-of-view. One of the things I preferred more in the second and third installments was the real existing landscapes and architecture used instead of the comics version of buildings, etc. shown in Batman Begins. I really do applaud Christopher Nolan for using cities like Chicago, New York and London for the cityscapes in TDK and TDKR. I don't mind seeing the fantasy scenery as much in future Earth scenes or non-Earth environments. For me, the fictional characters fit better in a storyline if their surroundings are actually real.

Adrianne Barbeau (sp?) was the only thing that got me through Swamp Thing. She was... quite mesmerizing for this particular teenaged male back in the day. :p

MEOW...Heather Locklear was in the second one and both had the kid(s) in it for some comical value.

But I think it is one of those movies they could redo and make MUCH MUCH better.

Another movie I would like to see redone and in a more serious way would be Flash Gordon.

3. Hulk tv series
I do not think I would have ever watched the Hulk television series and movies if not for Bill Bixby. I still prefer his rendition of Dr. Banner over the later portrayals by Eric Bana, Ed Norton and Mark Ruffalo. Hulk's power level and abilities were parallel to the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman. Seeing him so weak was a real injustice for the character in my opinion.

I totally agree. Some might disagree but I think J.J. Abrams has the mindset to do Swamp Thing the right way. I really like how Abrams did Cloverfield and think he could translate the character to the screen well. (EDIT) Flash Gordon was intentionally created as a campy movie. Even so, I hope any remake will cast someone who could play Ming the Merciless just as good as Max von Sydow. He was the best part of the movie in my opinion.
