Why not? In the comics he has been a part of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers.
I, um, just got schooled Thanks for info!

The special effects could have been done better. I did not care very much for the diamond version of Emma Frost. I did like how they displayed Darwin's powers though.First Class had some of the worst green screen efx....
The scene where lisa bonet daughter is flying through the sky shooting fireballs was horrid.
I totally agree. Some might disagree but I think J.J. Abrams has the mindset to do Swamp Thing the right way. I really like how Abrams did Cloverfield and think he could translate the character to the screen well. (EDIT) Flash Gordon was intentionally created as a campy movie. Even so, I hope any remake will cast someone who could play Ming the Merciless just as good as Max von Sydow. He was the best part of the movie in my opinion.
Queen's soundtrack is legendary in my book. I wish you hadn't mentioned hawkmen. Now I must release my inner Prince Vultan...I know it was meant to be campy. I liked the humor and such with it but the campy part was the space ships and so on...just too bad even though it was meant to be that way. On a side note..>LOVED the soundtrack to it and I thought the costumes were pretty wild. Just would have liked to seen better special effects...the space ships...the hawmken with wings that looked real and so on. Agreed about Ming...be hard to recast some one to do a good of a job as he did.

IMPETUOUS BOY!
Oh well. Who wants to live forever? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! DIVE!!!
Dang it. Now that you mention it, Gimli DOES look like Vultan. There was a particular line he used that Vultan could have said as well: Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for???When I watched Gimli in the LOR series (movies of course not the book)...I always though he was a mini me Vultan.
Just my personal top 10:
1) X-men II : X-men United (X-men was always my favorite comic and Nightcrawler my fave character)
2) Batman Begins (I love origin stories so prefer to Dark Knight - sue me)
3) Capt. America -Winter Soldier (Great story and fight scenes)
4) Ironman (Started the Marvel successes)
5) Man of Steel (I like the non-goofy/cheesy Supes better than Reeves version)
6) Guardians of the Galaxy (Talking Tree and Racoon - nuff said)
7) The Dark Knight (Lower than most would have tis movie but still greatly loved)
8) Avengers (good interractions of characters)
9) Spiderman (First one - again, love the origin stories)
10) Superman II (Kneel before Zod)
To this day, I still hate how Nightcrawler was not included in X-Men: The Last Stand. I would have loved seeing Wolverine and him kidding around. "Hey! Come here you little elf!"Just my personal top 10:

Agreed. Colossus made it to X:TLS at least. I think Hugh Jackman siphoned a lot of story and onscreen presence away from other mutant characters in all the X-movies except X:FS. I blame the producers and directors for that though. It was funny as a youngster with Night Crawler and Colossus being main characters through a good part of the 80s and here in the movie you have Nightcrawler in one (think it was just one) movie and Colussus just has a small blurb here and there as a teen.
Just odd.
I do not think I would have ever watched the Hulk television series and movies if not for Bill Bixby. I still prefer his rendition of Dr. Banner over the later portrayals by Eric Bana, Ed Norton and Mark Ruffalo. Hulk's power level and abilities were parallel to the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman. Seeing him so weak was a real injustice for the character in my opinion.

Thread Disclaimer: I already know some members did not care for Man Of Steel as much as I did. I posted the list to show how I valued each movie's entertainment value and respect that others will not agree to my order of preference.
Just wanted to throw that out there before Man Of Steel gets dragged down to the bottom of someone's list.

You know how I feel about it so I will not comment.
As the late great Siskel and Ebert would say, two thumbs up.5) Superman 1 & 2 ( light years better than than Man of Steel which was an embarrassment to the great Superman story )
My list of the worst Superhero movies include: Man of Steel (top of the list), Daredevil, Catwoman
