Okay, lets go!
By saying that McCarthy is afraid to go for it simply is judging him by a few situations where he failed to be aggressive. I can show you many times that he did go for it and was aggressive. You have to remember that Mike McCarthy was hampered with horrible defenses so this is going to by nature force you into being a bit more conservative offensively. I mean, you go for it here and give the opposing side the ball back with good field position your goose is cooked. I really honestly believe on this particular point you have to take into consideration what MM was working with on the defensive side of the instead of automatically labeling him as a perennial chicken. By your logic we should assume because Bill Bellichek sucked with the Browns that he was a failed hire when the Patriots signed him on. By using your logic and had the patriots not signed BB, they probably would have none of those super bowls right? All I'm saying is quit being so quick to judge here, and I think you can see by my breakdown that there are holes in your argument.
Also, I can't give much credence to Aaron Rogers saying that Mike has a low football IQ because of whom said it. Arod is a selfish arrogant prick whom really gets along with no one. We all know people like that, and its best to ignore that. Sure, Mike may of gotten lazy at one point, but remember what I said before, Mike's laziness could of been come from the organization failing to be proactive and bring in more talent. I'm not trying to give mike a pass here, but you have to understand that it's easy to make the coach the scapegoat when things aren't going well. Sometimes you just have to move on and start over because of the emotional dynamic.
when you say that MM is an average coach this is delusional. Rogers hasn't been as good without Mike and that is a fact. Sure he is still playing well, but the packers defense has carried them thus far through this season. If you look at Rogers objectively he has not looked like himself, call it age or whatever you want, but he is not the Arod of old. This is the first time in a long time that the packers have a defense responsible for winning them a ton of games.
Again, at the end of the day, opinions are like, well, you know... I wonder what your age is quite honestly, or how much experience you have in life, but my life experience paints a very different picture than what you see.
