Here we go again. I love Pollard but I've always said that good RBs are a dime-a-dozen and easily replaced. Pollard is no different. I said the same thing when Zeke was chillin in Cabo and was repeatedly told, "But Zeke is special though." We all know how that turned out.
He was special. That...was an epicI rookie season that literally....made an NFL qb.
Two... should have been three straight.... rushing champion. That is special.

We misused and abused him. Now he's toast. Good thing we have fans like you that appreciate it.

Know when a player is done. And Zeke is done. However you need to move on, move on.

I said ‘NO’ to both. It’s not a knock on the players, but on the associated costs and return on investment. Paying for either one is just bad business and not worth the costs.
Yeah I agree draft a running back and they hit the road running if they’re a good one tiedowns we’ve got to pick up another one in the draft

It’s the right move. Would you rather they outbid everyone on a long term contract?

or are you saying you would rather let him walk?
I would let him walk. You don’t pay running backs big money.

It's a really easy decision IMO
  1. Cut Zeke
  2. Franchise Pollard
  3. Replace Zeke with a 2nd-4th rounder
  4. Let Pollard walk in 2024 with the draftee taking over no.1 spot
It's pretty clear that Zeke's 3.8 YPC is sub-standard while Pollard's 5.2 YPC is top 3 in the league. 11m on a franchise buys a year to find a solution for the whole position (both Zeke and Pollard) and looking at production 11m is a steal for Pollard. It's not to dissimilar to TE last year, I feel a whole lot better now we bedded in Ferguson and if the draftee is a dud then I'm fine getting through the season with Pollard and Davis and we can re-up in the following years draft..
