Time heals some wounds, but I remember reading Norv Turner was pretty sour with Jerry Jones in 2007 when he lost out on becoming head coach to Wade Phillips.

And with Turner quitting on the Minnesota Vikings during the season, has he decided it's time to hand in the headset for good?

I haven't thought about that. That's also a possibility.

He's in his 6th full year as head coach, 1 playoff appearances, 2 after this year...1 playoff win, not a great December record. Not a fan of him or that OC...

Linehan is the biggest reason Dak is even in Dallas.

Linehan at head coach seems like the classic Peter Principle. Some guys are just good/great co-coordinators, but not head coach material.

Linehan was atrocious as a head coach. He doesn't have the ability to juggle and manage all of that. The best thing for his legacy and career is stay here, get paid like a head coach, and turn Dak into an all-pro. With any luck, win some super bowls.

it's only bigger if Red takes back the OC duties. Linehan is far far far from irreplaceable.

As some others have pointed out, Linehan is a classic example of a guy with a ceiling at coordinator (which is still highly respectable). If he's smart he will take Jerry's money and stay. If not, there are other talented OCs out there to take it while he crashes and burns somewhere as a HC.

It's funny because his name was mentioned as a HC candidate the other day on one of the Network shows and a couple of the guys shot it down really quick. I don't think he is a great candidate.
