I'd say Wade Wilson had as big or bigger hand in this. He was the one that convinced Linehan and Garrett to take a deeper look at Dak.

Kyle Shanahan will be a prime candidate for HC too so it won't happen here as for Linehan, as of now only two teams are available the Rams, a team he already coached years earlier so I don't see that team resigning a retread like Linehan so an young upstart like Shanahan would be a better attraction for a team like the Rams imo. The other team would be the Jaguars, who could possibly come knocking at Linehan's door for a possible HC job but imo once again he would be a train wreck there as HC they have some pieces on offense, and defense but their QB Bortles, is a hot/cold type of QB and not saying Linehan couldn't do a good job with him but they will need a lot of help on that oline. If Linehan gets plucked by another team like the 2 mentioned here or other potential openings like the Bengals, Jets, and the Bears some here say bring back Norv Turner in which I wouldn't have a problem with but the one name to keep in mind if he becomes available would be the Bengals OC Ken Zampese whose father both Garrett and Jones knows all to well something to think about though.
