Even if linehan is largely responsible for dak being drafted, I can be thankful to him for that and still wish for a new offensive coordinator. It's nothing against him personally or saying he's never done anything good.

Literally the worst thing that we could do to Dak is to let Linehan leave do he has to learn a whole new system

Jerry needs to make sure Linehan stays

Why? Linehan is running Garrett's system.

He failed as a Head Coach before only lasting 4 games into his 3rd season. That will take him off of the list for several teams.
I would still consider him. 2 failed HC stints, not 1 is my magic number. As far as 1 goes, it all depends on coaches abilities and his situation the first stint

He did have 2 failed HC stints with the Rams, and Dolphins or maybe you knew that already but as I said before the NFL loves its retreads.

He was the OC for the Dolphins under Saban. Noth the HC. The Rams were his only HC position

Yes, some owner/GM might consider him, but several will want somebody that has had some success as an HC.

Linehan as HC:
2006: 8-8
2007: 3-13
2008: Fired after 4 games.

Linehan had been here a few years and gas likely tweaked it
In addition he is the play caller

A rookie needs consistency to make jump between tear 1 and 2

Linehan needs to stay

Agree to disagree. I'd prefer him gone.

Not a great resume but two seasons wasn't really fair. He might actually be a good HC; it remains to be seen whether he gets another opportunity.
