Rapoport: Zeke wants a new contract this offseason

Lawrence
Cooper
Zeke
Byron
Jaylon
Dak (I'd rather not but that's a different convo)

I dunno anything about the cap but can we afford to keep all these guys or we gonna have to let a couple of them go?
Only way is the win now and foreclose on the future method. Just goes to show how impressive the personnel people are for perennial playoff teams in the salary cap era.

No it won't.

Jed knows the whole allegation gig and suspension was a farce and a slap in the face......
I agree.

You mention that at the negotiation table and Emmitt..

err..

Zeke..

Gets up and leaves for Philly like our other RB did.

That is what started this thing of drafting Zeke and 1st Rd. OL guys.

Not again, thanx but no thanx I say ever so friendly.

Zeke is a greedy degenerate with questionable work ethic.

Prediction - Zeke is a holdout next season which may lead to a trade. This could be his last game as a Cowboy.

Zeke will never hold out. He loves the game too much. He will get his extension either this year or next. Jerry loves him, the team loves him and the fans love him. He is not a Steeler, he is a Cowboy. He also wants to be the best HB ever. A hold out along with the bogus suspension would hurt him in his quest for the Hall and the Goat status.

well as my Daddy used to say you can WANT in one hand and poop in the other and see which weighs more...se Bell brah..he deserves more money but early and huge contact WITH AMARI, DAK, TANK, AND OTHERS IN NEED AS WELL..GOOD LUCK
Zeke is not going anywhere.

I do not care if Jerry has to give him the keys to the Lear Jet as a bonus.

Nowhere.

He loves being a Cowboy.

Look at his eyes when he speaks and tell me you want him across the LOS coming for you.

No way Jose..

no one said hes leaving but getting huge contract EARLY.i doubt that..they will LBell him if need be play next year and the year after in FT, and then he can leave..i doubt he holds out if he does after yr 3 I will lose respect for him, he has to be patient and he will get paid..tons of other players are up sooner..

They don't need to pay him for at least another year. That makes sense.

They could conceivably hold him under contract for two more years without even using a franchise tag. Zeke may hold their feet to the fire though because he might be worn out in 3 more years.
Yes they could but we're talking about people that shot their mouths off about extending the QB who will be in his last year. Why shouldn't everybody line up?

Jerry is famous for taking care of his guys.

Zeke will get paid this offseason if he demands it, guaranteed... but it will cost him guaranteed money.

Won't be surprised to see 7 years, 130mn, 50mn guaranteed.

Really not looking forward to a hold out next season similar to the Bell situation. We've already had one season ruined due to missing Zeke. But I hope we don't lose a guy like Lawrence to satisfy Zeke before his contract is up.

Aight, since you are clearly trying to avoid the question posed to you, then I will respond to yours. So you think we should extend Martin early again because he is clearly the best player we have. So the best get paid, then I'm guessing what you are saying here is that we should resign Martin, after having signed a new deal with him last year. I mean, he is the best we have right?
Why are you purposely being obtuse doggy? Use some common sense, Martin is the highest paid player at his position so why would we be redoing his deal? Zeke is the 10th highest paid player at his position but he’s been arguably the best the last 3 years. I shouldn’t have to spell this out for you. some of you just like to argue like broads.

Cap goes up $10 mil this next year.

You do not kick a once in a generation runner to the curb.

Ask Emmitt.
While I do not consider him once in a generation or even the best runner in the NFL, I am not suggesting kick him to the curb but there's just so much money to go around and they have other positions up and they want to get paid too.
