But he did sort of have special powers.

Though I think it's a bit ridiculous to harp on the movie because it's not realistic because it's not really meant to be.

He had hightened senses :banghead:and yet he defied evey law of physics and bullets. That is not the same thing if he had a power where he could use enrgy etc to minuplate the bullet it would at least make some sense.

It was just stupid a bad concept

Just watched Super Troopers.

Pretty good. I imagine it's another one of those "you have to watch it several times to enjoy the humor" movies.

And the guy at the beginning jumped across from one building to the other. They heal from almost anything in a day because of wax? Their orders are taken from a thread of fate? If that's not enough to help you infer that there is more going on than just "heigtened senses."

The action is meant to be over the top, and it's done very well.

The Informant - 5/10

Just "Meh".

Double Identity - 2/10

What was Kilmer thinking? The editor of this movie needs to be taken to the woodshed.

2012 - 5/10

Retardedly over the top. Entertaining to an extent, but too Con-Airish to really give any favorable review.

Law Abiding Citizen - 5 of 5 stars. 'Twas a little cheesy, but really thrilling.

I enjoyed most of the movie, but the ending was pretty stupid.

I took my six year old to see Alice in Wonderland on the IMAX screen last night. Pretty good flick for the kids, but there were a few spots where it certainly earned it's PG rating. The movie was decent and Tim Burton always ensures good visuals on his projects. I'd give it a 7 out of ten for entertaining the heck out of my kid and showing well in IMAX 3D.

That sounds about right. Somewhere in the 7-8 range. I thought the Red and White Queens stole the show, though.

I noticed that after about 10 minutes into the film, (the descent down the rabbit hole) all the whippersnappers were dead silent.

Leaving Las Vegas - 6.5/10

Interesting movie, but I'm not really sure what I think of it. It was depressing in the same way that The Wrestler was depressing, but there was just something that kept me from really liking the movie. Maybe it was just the Nic Cage factor.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - 9/10

Hilarious relationship comedy with good bit roles by Jonah Hill and Paul Rudd. Pretty standard in a lot of ways, but just very well executed.

I enjoyed that movie as well. Plus Mila Kunis looked fantastic.

Antichrist - ??/??

Okay so we watched this movie Antichrist starring Willem Dafoe last night, and wow. Just, wow. About 20 seconds in the movie you are wondering what exactly you just got yourself into. By the end, you are wishing you could unsee some of the things you just saw.

I can't even begin to explain what the movie is about because it starts out as one thing and ends up somewhere completely different. But trust me, if you see it, there are parts that will definitely stay with you.

It's availble on Netflix Watch Now, for those that have it. Do not watch it with anyone you are not VERY comfortable with.

I can't tell if this is criticism or praise, but it is a great advertisement for the movie. I'm going to Netflix it.

Yes she did, Kristen Bell wasn't half bad either.

A few months ago, I heard a radio interview with Jason Segel, the lead actor, where he talked about the inspiration for some of the scenes. Apparently, some of that stuff has happened to him in real life. Specifically, I remember him saying that he really had a girl break up with him while he was naked and standing in front of her. Also, the Dracula rock-opera songs were things that Segel had already written. He played them for Paul Rudd shortly after the two met and Rudd told him that he absolutely could never play those in front of anyone else. :laugh2:

Now I have to see it, but it's only available to watch immediately. Watching on my computer isn't comfortable at all. Crap.
