The greatest disaster in the history of American cinema. And the effects wern't bad either. :p:
Non stop action, and a aircraft carrier falls on the White House.

8/10*

*Minus one point for cute kids. Plus one point because it had Dr.Pholx in it.:)

A couple of days ago, I read the synopsis of 2012 because I was actually curious how it ended. The plot seemed to go like this...

Lead characters NARROWLY escape disaster site #1, reach refuge point #1.

Lead characters NARROWLY escape refuge point #1 as it turns into disaster site #2, reach refuge point #2.

Lead characters NARROWLY escape refuge point #2 as it turns into disaster site #3, reach refuge point #3.

Pretty much covers it. But were not talking Gone With The Wind here.

Yeah, I heard the effects were pretty spectacular. I'm sure I'll end up watching it once it makes its way to HBO or On Demand.

The effects were the strongest elements in the film. A nonstop film of crashes. And really bad science.

Bad Neutrino! No doughnut!

Zombieland -- 16/10

Terrific movie. Hilarious with tons of jaw-dropping action scenes. Even had sad bits, a very well constructed flick.

Food Inc. will change the way you think. 5 of 5 stars on the Beneficial Ben rating system.

Definitely a movie you don't want to think about when eating.

Pretty good for a documentary.

Just saw 2012 before it ended I was wishing the world would just come to an end lucky the movie ended instead.

Also saw Hurt Locker I thought it was good but can't believe it won the awards including best movie the other night I did not think it was that good.

Crazy Heart 9/10

Jeff Bridges was amazing, his oscar was earned and deserved. But here's the thing, Collin Farrel and Maggy Gyllenhaal were both really good too! That blew me away. Also, I don't like country music but man, the songs in this movie were amazing. Particularly the ending scene, that was one of the better endings i've seen to a movie. Robert Duval was his great self as usual. The story is pretty typical, down on his luck guy who resurrects himself but they did it in a bit different way and avoided some cliche character types/swerves which I was waiting for. I didn't think i'd enjoy it this much but I'd put it above The Hurt Locker and Avatar.

I highly recommend it.

I've been watching "centennial". A 1978 miniseries about the old west. 21 hours long it is. I'm almost halfway done. Really good so far.

Stephen Bruton, T Bone Burnett. Great musicians and songwriters come through in any genre.

Was real happy that it got some industry recognition.

Alice in Wonderland.

Boring. 5/10.

Agreed. I went to the midnight showing and the people in costumes were more entertaining than the movie itself. It had ptential to be really funny in places and wasnt. The "tick" thing that Anne Hathaway had going with her fingers / hands everytime she talked was irritating, Mia Wasikowska was plain and un-interesting as alice, and everytime I saw Crispin Glover all i could thing was "HELLOOO Mc Fly"

Its definitely a dollar movie or a blu ray movie IMHO
