The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo---------7/10

Having read the book and having been anticipating the movie, it was somewhat of a let down. I understand the need to streamline the storyline and the complexity of the plot as it appears in the book but i think the director made some poor choices in deciding what to keep and what to cut out. Keep in mind the movie was still 2 1/2 hours. To be fair, it was a decent movie and perhaps i would have enjoyed it better if i hadn't read the book first.

Apparently, they've already shot the next two movies based on The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest. The former is set to be released sometime this year.

Nooo! It has to make enough money to justify a sequel...Just so I can see the best character ever on the big screen...Toph. :(
No matter what, I do see the books of Earth and Fire becoming sequels. My only hope is that he doesn't portray Toph as someone lame. :) Well, that and seeing Azula accurately portrayed as the psychopathic beauty that she is. :laugh1:

Virtuosity (1995; Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe)

A techno-thriller. Russell Crowe did a fine job with his villian character.

The movie must have received bad reviews or else I would have seen it before now. I enjoyed it. It is a bit dated here and there, being 15 years old, but overall, it stands up pretty well.

I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10.

I wouldn't be so sure, it hasn't even made back it's production costs yet, if it doesn't at least do that, the studios may not let Night direct another one, much less two without some significant changes.

Predators - I will give it a 7.5/10

Good sci-fi flick. In my opinion as good as the original. Could have been better though.

Just watched Brooklyn's Finest yesterday. Wow...talk about horrendous advertising. The previews made me not want to see it at all, but it turned out to be really, really good. They definitely pushed Wesley Snipes way too much in this movie with outstanding performances from Ethan Hawke, Richard Gere, and Don Cheadle.

9/10.

Predators 3/10

awful. mr. overrated himself Robert Rodriguez whiffed big time on this one. Adrien Brody trying to be a tough guy......

Is it a remake? Prequel? Sequel?

I guess a sequel(a bad one) but more a sequel to the 1st Predator rather than all the bad Predator movies that came out after the 1st one. I say that because they mentioned what was said from the only person who survived the 1st Predator movie when he was debriefed or however you would say it.

You gotta be kidding me. The dialogue was terrible. The whole premise was formulaic. It

sucks, sucks, sucks!

Clash Of The Titans : 7/10
--Didn't see it in 3D so I can't comment on that but it was a decent movie. I enjoy Sam Worthington movies. Some of the fights between could have been better between Perseus and the monsters/gods.

From Paris With Love: 6/10
-- If you like action, it's a good movie. There really was no dialogue in the movie at all, was just action scene after action scene. I like action so it was decent.

The Losers: 5/10
--Didn't like this at all. There were so many holes in the storyline IMO that it made it too fake.

Brooklyn's Finest: 5/10
--Ending was lame. Didn't like it. I was entertained throughout the movie but didn't like the ending.

Dont like

I lose interest since I know X (John Travolta) wont die in the 1st shootout of the movie

Youth In Revolt - 7/10

I liked it, this is kind of Michael Cera's thing and he pulled it off again thanks to a nice screenplay that allowed him to be Michael Cera without his little idiosyncrasies taking over the whole movie.

francois dillinger approves

my favorite quote: "i don't want to hurt you Trent, so I'm only going to ask once that you and your adorable sweater step aside."

Killers: 6/10

I like Ashton Kutcher but this movie had so many parts where you ask yourself "how/what/when did that happen." Once again though, it was mildly entertaining. Just glad I didn't go to it in theatres.

Grown Ups 6/10.

Not nearly as bad as I was led to believe (the critics hated it). It's a light-hearted, upbeat family comedy. My wife and I enjoyed it.
