I was very disappointed in this movie

It would take a lot for me to be disappointed by a movie that looks so terrible.

1. Everyone isn't born with bending abilities.
2. Bending in-and-of itself involves precise body movements to initiate, which can be kinda hard to do sometimes when someone is right up in your face trying to KILL ya. ;)

I knew not everyone wasn't born with bending abilities. But on #2, that is a good answer, makes sense. :D

Valentines Day. Mercifully, this sapathon put me to sleep (the crink in my neck can't be worse than watching the last thirty minutes).

I was never a comic book kid, but I've rather enjoyed the newer comic-based movies that have been released over the last 10 years or so...with some exceptions.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine wasn't a movie I really I had on my radar...perhaps due to the title, but I watched it yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. In fact, I liked it better than the previous treatments of the X-Men story. The casting of Ryan Reynolds is kind of gay, but other than that, I thought it was pretty cool.

Just saw The Last Airbender, and even with the danger of getting Dallas East going again ;) I am giving it a 4 or 5 (out of 10). Not familiar with the anime, though I have heard it is a very good one. It felt like a four and a half hour movie crammed into two hours. No development of ideas, just plot points plunked down to get them out of the way. Thought the special effects were great. Didn't like some of the casting. Went with three people to see it, and none of them was particularly impressed.

On the good side: This may lead me to investigate the anime.

On the bad side: Shaymalian may be heading to the director graveyard if this tanks like the last 3 or 4 movies of his.

Trust me, I have no problem whatsoever with your rating. Nearly 5,000 votes on IMDB.com averages out the same as yours. Additionally, some of the paid critics have not been nearly as kind as you. :)

It's done a respectible $70 million during it's opening weekend, mainly due to its core audience. What will be interesting is how well it does this upcoming week/weekend (I'm expecting around a 70% dropoff at the box office). A portion of the hardcore fans will return, but I doubt that most of its fans will not. It's overall potential run during the next 3 -4 weeks will greatly depend on word-of-mouth from the majority of its fans as well.

I would recommend the show to anyone. In my opinion, it is the best American made anime ever. You can catch it on Nickelodeon. It's pretty much the ONLY thing I watch on that network.

Shyamalan's already headed down that road. This movie may do better overseas than here, but I will believe it when I see it.

Is M Night even talented? His best movie(Critically at least) was Sixth Sense and he ripped that from Nickelodeon.

ZombieLand - 8/10. I dont realy get this genre. Its not scary b/c its goofiness. And it sacrifices humor for dead end scares.

Still, this was pretty fun and consistent the whole way through. I would have casted Timothy Olyphant as the Woody Harelson character and anyone else as the young kid. He annoys me

Who knows? I thought that The Sixth Sense was superb. So far, Signs is the only movie of his which came close to it. Every other movie was below Signs. And The Happening??? He should've been shot for The Happening.

Well, not shot, but if anyone were to walk up and tell him, "I see dead directors", I wouldn't hate on 'em.

Yea I always preferred Signs to The Sixth Sense.

The cute kids in Signs were better than that little freak!

The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada -- 6/10.

Tommy Lee Jones stars and directs this. Strange movie. It held my interest, for sure, but there are two things I hate in a movie (besides Nick Cage), and that's the "GD" cuss word and rattlesnakes. Too much of both.

Avatar: The Last Air Bender - 3/10

The 3 is for SOME of the fighting. The rest of the movie is simply awful. The acting by all the young actors was absolutely terrible and the majority of the adults werent much better. Only the uncle seemed to have bothered to show up for his acting classes. I have only watched a few episodes of the original anime, and even I could tell they were butchering the story.

And can someone explain to me why you would replace the main characters with white people, only for it to turn out they can't act for ****? If you're going to hire terrible actors, then at least go for authenticity.

Toy Story 3 - 8/10

Very good but not great. I think it's going to be hard for Pixar to touch me the way they did with Up anytime soon, they set a pretty high standard there. It was fun though, but 3D was useless really.

You really likes Up better?

It was slow as all hell.

Toy Story 3 moved at a nice pace and had much more humor and a way better cast.
I will never watch Up again, Ill watch Toy Story 3 the rest of my life

I thought up should have won film of the year at the Oscars, that's how much I liked it. I thought it was a great movie, not just a great animated movie.

I did give Toy Story an 8 out of 10, so its not like I thought it was terrible. I still love the first one the most.

Me too.

Maybe UP just wasnt my thing.

The drama mixed w/ a talking dog felt out of place. Toy Story 3 had a nice balance of dramatic story telling and still cute humor from a lot of talented voice actors. Much more visually interesting as well.
