Actually, they had decent material to work with, the director, which lacks experience (based on his imdb profile) just didn't do a good enough job of making it interesting.

The movie could have been good as The Color Purple but ultimately wasn't even close.

best scene in The Color Purple: the lesbian kissing scene between Whoopie Goldberg and that other lady

watching Hard Candy

interesting storyline, but i gotta say, Ellen Page is ANNOYING!

I thought it was a good movie. She's definitely a little off in that movie but shes a decent actress.

her character was fine, it's just Ellen Page herself

her voice is really annoying

only spent 99 cents, so not too pissed

Ninja Assassin: 8/10

Great action flick. Story itself is pretty blah but I'm a sucker for a good ninja flick. As long as you're willing to roll with it, it's a good time. I'd say easily my favorite part of the plot is the ninja training and the interaction between them, the cop stuff was boring as hell.

Glad to hear it. I've been looking forward to it just because it looks cool. I'm surprised it even has a plot.

Movies like this bother me. It's like someone had the idea of what they'd like to happen, but in reality never would. It's like self gratification on somewhat of a budget.

it probably took a month to film

Outlander -- 1/10

great concept, and I always thought Jim Caviezel was underrated

but the movie sucked, too much epic wanna-be crap and Jimmy boy was boring, so bored in fact that I've decided to read a book instead

You can read?

Angels & Demons

Tom Hanks is back as symbologist Robert Langdon in a "follow up" to The Da Vinci Code. Story is a bit predictible and the acting is just above average. The story revolves around the passing of the Pope and the election of a new one. Four of the leading Cardinals have been abducted and are to be killed one by one till Midnight when the Holy city it's self will go BOOM!
The cinatogrophy is outstanding, it is a wonderfuly visual movie. And you would never know it wasn't shot in the Vatican and St. Peters square. Absoulty wonderfuly done, by Ron Howard.

Rated PG-13 for some mild violence.

8/10

:)
