Not sure if I posted already but.

Suicide squad:

Zero replay value. Probably a 5/10 for action and Will Smith. The Joker was terrible. He has no depth to his character.

The Jungle Book, i didn't like the fact that the animals could speak. Great graphics/picture.
Well it was better than the 90's jungle book live action movie. Now that was a real gem. It was on t.v the other day and my son thought it was the new one. I turned that trash off within 5 minutes. How could anyone make it though that torture? .

Jurassic World 8/10 I like the movie overall but you think they would learn to stop recreating the dinosaurs after the crap that happen before.

The Conjuring 2 - if you liked the first on you will like the second one. Some like the second one better... The villian/demon is creepier, rather is for sure.

Kill Zombie! - crazy Dutch version of Sean of the dead. Crazy, goofy, funny and silly. Not great or as good as Sean but still a fun watch if bored. Netflix

Chronicles of the ghostly tribe - Chinese movie that starts off with some promise but goes off the rails. Would not recommend it but sadly it probably could have been decent if they did not jump around too much.
The monsters in it are done really well though Imo.

8.0/10.0

Easily the best comic book adaptation as a visual concept. Sorcery and other dimensional artwork are central to the title and Marvel Studios did a great job representing them on the big screen.

I've reversed my opinion somewhat about Tikda Swinton playing The Ancient One. Solid performance but more essential was the need for one of the major characters being female. Rachel Adams played Strange's love interest but the film doesn't give her a lot of screen time to emphasize that angle.

This was an origin story movie and it establishes Strange's beginning solidly. Some of the audience may be taken aback by Strange's rapid assent becoming the Sorcerer Supreme. Hopefully everyone will acknowledge that the character is a prodigy in every sense of the word.

FYI: The film has TWO cut scenes during the ending credits, with one shortly following the end scene and the other appearing after the conclusion of all credits. Those who don't know the backstory of the characters should wait-and-see the latter cut scene involving Chiwetel Ejofor's Mordo character.

I love movies presenting realistic glimpses into the everyday life of other cultures. Wadjda doesn't disappoint. The story revolves around a young girl and her mother and how they cope with the rules and rituals of their culture. Audiences see their struggles and triumphs, although mainly Wadjda's. The film pulls on your heart in many different ways. However, this type of movie may not be your cup of tea if you can't stand subtitles. :p

Doctor Strange. Fun, entertaining, and visually impressive.

Can't watch the early scene though of Strange in surgery. Next time I watch, i'll just fast forward. But yes, loved the visuals and the way they can pass into any point in time. Cool. Still should have made the ancient one asian. They had asian actors in the movie, so made no sense to cast that part as a white woman.

Even if they wanted another woman in a major role, they could have chosen an older Asian lady.

I think a white woman actually helped the character more than stereotypical old asian person would have. Made the character more unexpected and mysterious.

What was so mysterious with a wihite person playing it? So, maybe they should change the Black Panther into a white character too. Makes it more mysterious.

A bald middle aged white woman living in Tibet and going by the name The Ancient One isn't more mysterious than an old asian guy living in Tibet going by the name The Ancient One?

What does being Asian matter to the character?

Black Panther is a native (and royalty) of an African nation (and not South Africa). It wouldn't be mysterious, it would be silly. The Ancient One's background is not clear.

So her being white and bald makes her mysterious. Her physical look. Maybe an Asian acting like a white person I guess could be mysterious. As long as it's a white portrayal.

Really, what does being Asian for the character matter? Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created that character and made him Asian for a reason. I guess we should also change the HULK from being green to a white, bald woman. Makes him more mysterious.

What was that reason? Do you know?

It's certainly not apparent in the movie that the race of the character has any real relevance at all.

And it's not just her being bald and white, it's that she is not what one normally associates with an "ancient one" living in the middle of Tibet. It raises questions about how they got to that point, what their journey was like, etc. An Asian character would still have some of these questions, but they are less a fish out of water.

The main character even dismisses her and assumes another person is the ancient one because he was not expecting it to be her and instead viewed her in a stereotypical way as just another person seeking wisdom from whoever this ancient one was. His mind was not all that open to what he didn't know.

Your Hulk comparisons are just silly and not remotely the same.
