Captain America Winter Soldier 8.5/10. Great movie. Loved all the action! They do a really great job casting these movies.

Just watched Homefront. Along with that, I've seen American Hustle and Wolf of Wall Street in the last week. Liked Homefront the best. I can see why American Hustle got such good reviews, but other than the fact that Amy Adams was flat out smokin' in that movie, didn't do much for me. Actually fell asleep about halfway through.

"You're Next"

An interesting combination of 'home invasion' and a 'slasher' film with some interesting twists thrown in.

One of the more enjoyable horror films I've watched recently.

7/10.

Anchorman 2

Well, finally got around to watching it..........I am at a loss for words here. I absolutely loved the first one and had to watch the sequel, as I do for most movies I like.

This was bad and became laughable when Burgandy lost his sight. I can't think of another sequel that came even remotely close to bad as this one does. Hangover 2 and 3 were 10's compared to this one :(

Just very disappointed at this one and was a total waste of a lousy $6 On Demand. They should not even think of a part three if this is the best they can come up with and this movie isn't even worth a rating from me............

P.S. I love all of the actors in the movie too and that didn't even help it IMO.

Sounds like "Case de mi Padre" Love him so much for his talent (Ferrel), but he is not a director/producer by any means:oops: You can tell even "Stepbrothers" almost went off the hinge as well, but luckily was taped together enough to make it a formidable story, etc.

Man I don't see how you guys like that stuff. But then my wife won't watch anything like that because it upsets her so. Maybe that's part of why I don't like horror flicks. But I never liked them much.

Noah was ok but that's about it. Evil always gets it in the end but we all have it in us to be evil generally strikes a note in most of us although who wants to be reminded. Nice special effects though.

I need to see this. Better than the first?

It's really close. I enjoyed the action over the first. This might have been the greatest action as far fighting I've ever seen. The movie is a little long. Overall I still like the first slightly more.

The Raid - 9.75/10
The Raid 2 - 9.5

The Raid 2 will be a day 1 buy when it comes out on Blu-Ray.

30 Days of Night: Dark Days (video, 2010)

Guess this was a direct-to-video sequel to the original 30 Days of Night, which I never even heard of nor have seen.

And direct-to-video for very good reason, because I can't imagine a whole lot of folks willing to pay theater price for this. It did have a few cool moments, both involving a bathtub full of "blood" but beyond that, there's not much to salvage here.

3.5 out of 10

My wife doesn't like them either. So when I do watch them it's on the TV in my office.

The horror genre either clicks for you or it doesn't.

When I was growing up I'd much rather go see "The Legend of Boggy Creek" as opposed to a Disney flick. LOL!

I would have given it a little higher rating (loved the scene near the beginning where the bad guy sticks his head in the door at the motel and the good guys unleash a hellacious barrage of bullets into his noggin), but no over all it wasn't a good film.

The original though... Outstanding.

I really feel horror flix are made to test your humanity, if that makes sense. Brings you back to an animalistic level of what human being are capable of kind've thing. I think that is the taboo that makes it a genre.
