Better than Porky's or Revenge of the Nerds?

No...but still a decent 80's campy movie. Although it has the guy from Revenge of the Nerds who played Gilbert, in the lead role.

I like finding all of these old cheesy 80's movies (mostly comedies) on Youtube or Crackle...cause I like the freeeeeeeeeeee ones lol.

Lone Survivor. 8.5/10

For anyone who was watched the movie, there were a few moments that you go "They could of easily avoided the situation".

Also the first mountain tumble in reality would of killed most of them, just saying. lol

Just saw Parkland last night which tells the story of the events following JFK's assassination. Very underrated film and one the best I've seen in a long time. It doesn't dwell into the actual murder or any conspiracy theories and focuses on the people involved in those chaotic days, including Zapruder, the doctors at Parkland Hospital, Secret Service and FBI agents, etc. Real good film.

MALEFICENT 7/10

I really don't know much about the Disney Sleeping Beauty story, which is surprising as my daughter lived on the Disney movies growing up. Not really knowing the story I went in with no real expectations. I thought the beginning of the movie was too sugar sweet, but it soon got much better. As someone else mentioned earlier, Angelina Jolie was the only choice to play the part. She was great as the title character. The ending was fairly predictable, but not completely. I went to the matinee (which I always do) and I was surprised how crowded the theatre was. I figured with the new Dragon movie and this movie being out for a couple of weeks there wouldn't be that many people in the audience.

Godzilla 3/10

Was I bored. I knew that Godzilla wasn't in the movie a whole bunch, but I was shocked at how little screen time he had. A minute or so here, 20-30 min go buy, a minute or so here, another 20-30 min go by. Till the very end of the movie when there is some, but not enough. Too much screen time from the military viewpoint. And the dumb civilians. I was laughing when all this distruction was going on in the city, that parents had the nerve to send there kids to school (school buses get caught up with other cars on a bridge). Or that people ACTUALLY go to work at their jobs in high office tower buildings in the city when Godzilla and company are destroying the city around them. Looking out their office building with shock. "Uh...maybe I shouldn't go to work today & leave the city by any means possible. Nah, my boss MIGHT fire me if I don't show up."

Maleficent 8/10

I liked it...and the little person with me liked it too and wants the DVD whenever it comes out. I knew the story of Sleeping Beauty, but the details had gotten fuzzy. It took me a minute to shake the cobwebs loose from the Snow White tale and Sleeping Beauty. lol Anywho, I thought Angelina Jolie was stellar in this movie. I didn't like the guy who played the King character. Something about his voice bothered me. I loved the crow character.

Duel 8/10

Starring Dennis Weaver and a dirty semi fuel tanker.

If anyone has Verizon, you can see it free on demand in the free & premium section under HDNet Movies.

I've seen this before, but gave it another look. Just as suspenseful and entertaining as I remember. It's hard to describe the movie to someone without it sounding like the whole thing is about a man vs. an anonymous semi truck driver on the roads of SoCal.

Dennis Weaver does a great job as Michael Mann, a middle-aged business man heading to a meeting across the state. Too bad he meets up with Mr. Peterbilt.

I highly recommend it.

It was excellent.
The brother and what he had to go through.
The mother. Well... Enough said.

The docs, nurses. Lots of good stories. Zapruder, the person.

He DOA but the human spirit wanted to save him. Even if a chunk of his head/ brain was missing. Very powerful movie if emotions.
